It would appear the principal activity of the SISU apologists this morning is frantically Googling a chap they'd never heard of before breakfast, to latterly convince themselves, then others, that he's a wanker. It could have been Mother Theresa of Calcutta, back from the dead with a winning lottery-ticlet and there'd still be a problem

He's a Yankie - not a wanker. And Mother Theresa? Please we can't afford more charity.

I'd be over the moon to get a new owner but surely faced with admin and losing a packet the stubborn hedge fund will miraculously stumble across the required back dated debt monies. Either way if we are still stuck with SISU come the summer I'll be gutted !

This!

We have to remember his part in bringing in sisu! Or should we just forget the history?

Well, Mother Theresa was a bit of a c-unit, so wouldn't wish her on us.

Seems the same who slavishly loved Sisu with no questions at all for years are preparing to do the same with anybody else.

Or to re-phrase, people are prepared to give (possible) new owners a chance to be judged on their actions.

Doesn't sound totally unreasonable does it?

Oh and how can JE be "Teflon" if you hold him responsible for so much? Bit of a contradiction?

Just received this reply re Haskell IV from Leeds Trust - he tried to take over Leeds last year.

"Very rich man, even richer father.

Very much thought to be Mr Bates favourite in the long fought saga to buy Leeds last year and has a family history of friendship with Bates however as we know he didn’t manage to beat GFHC.

I spoke to his team and they seemed to understand what was needed to rebuild a club that perhaps had seen better days and I don’t think money is a problem for them.

Coventry should be excited if its true."

Only bit that worries me is the friendship with Bates part!!

Now the Dallas Cowboys owner is a different story, throws money at the team, although they've still not won the Superbowl since late 90's, he won three though. Just built a $1billion stadium. If only........

Ken Bates as chairman who has nearly bankrupted two clubs much larger than ours couldn't persuade his friend to complete the Leeds purchase. Surely a team in a loftier position, with a greater tradition and considerably larger fan base would have been a much better prospect than our shambles? I pray that I'm wrong, but this connection pours even more cold water on for me.

Well not really Godiva as I reckon the majority of people cautiously welcoming the news of a possible takeover and SISU's subsequent demise will be more cautious if "Teflon's" got anything to do with it and not "especially" welcoming because of his involvement

Strange that some one on Twitter yesterday had heard rumours of Bates being linked with the club.

Even more interesting was PWKH yesterday re emphasising the need to develop the land around the stadium. Almost warming us up to the idea of this.

Any questioning of Sisu and Ranson(and their intentions) before was mostly verboten, shouted down in "Sisu saved us" and "Ranson's a football man and successful businessman" slogans from the majority.

Some, like Ginetta, even went mad if you suggested that Sisu were a hedge fund!

Just find it amusing that the same stuff I used to bring up 5 years ago about the views of a judge on Seppalla, how Sisu operated with companies, Ranson's previous failures to get anybody to fall for his blandishments(Man City, Villa, Southampton) etc, were suddenly discovered as "new" facts by people like MMM in the last 18 months or so.

Better to open your eyes at the start, and not have the "Three Monkeys" approach that many took with Sisu.

As for JE, well, he's maybe not so much Teflon Joe as Playdough Joe, malleable into whichever shape is required.

I don't see much unconditional acceptance. A touch. I see more unconditional rejection of an individual most on here hadn't even heard of before their Crunchy Nut Cornflakes

Not rejecting anything or anybody, have an open mind.

Try it some time.

If that's true, and I'll indulge your self-grandiose proclamation of foreword vision fo a moment; surely you should have an open mind to any new investor, if you were so balanced and accurate in your appraisal of SISU?

My mind is open. If you read my posts this morning I've only been critical of those who are damning without reason. Which appears to insinuate you're judging my posts not by what you read, but by what you want them to say.

Which is ironic given the advice you've dispensed above...

With this name now in the public domain, is it one of the possible people to takeover that apparently the Trust knew about, but couldn't tell the little people about as it was "in confidence", or is this somebody new to you?

Why is it important if he's a millionaire or billionaire?
If he has the money to take over the club and ACL that should be enough for us.
He aint going to pour tens of mio into the playing squad anyway ... the FFP prevents that.

Seeing naming names of prospective new owners is fashionable i was given one Sunday by a mate who in the past has got good accurate info (he actually told me Mark Robins was off before the Huddersfield manager was sacked) .the name being Qata or Quatar, wealthy Arab family not sure where from or if true so that could be a Yank, A rab and there's still that Chinaman Wanda or whatever. I reckon there must be oil under the Red Hills at Longford all this super rich interest in little old Cov. City

I'm sure there are indirect ways of putting money into the club, for instance shirt sponsorship and if the ground is part of the deal perhaps naming rights on the stadium.

Leicester's Thai owners are 'only' multi-millionaires, and they've done well!

The Father is probably a Billionair, he is based in Florida, his sone is running the Moscow side of the company but he probably only a Millionair.
Think this has leaked as was not supposed to go public till after Friday, just hope its not going to go all flat on us.

As soon as you hit the phrase 'property developer' huge alarm bells go off for me. People slate SISU saying they're only interested in the stadium, would a property developer have different interests?

Would be very intested to hear what he has to say but it takes more than a name of a potential investor being planted in the press to get me excited about the future. We've been here too many times before.

Have I missed something ? Did I specify either way that's my preferred option, I merely gave an opinion on how it could be done !
