As an out and out optimist I find my current concern rather weird, which is, is TM too good for us and this league?

Everyone is saying 'we will have a premiership manager', but do we need one? Can a manager manage a group of players well below what he has been used to? No doubt about it he is good but we have had good people, whether they be managers or players, through the door and they haven't lived up to expectation. The one plus is is that many players are out of contract so the team he builds will be his, all be it a cheaper one.

Does he know this league? Will his idea of bringing in premier league 21 year olds strikers work? Of course we will have to wait and see but at this moment in time my feelings are mixed.

Maybe my problem is I have been supporting the City too long?

I think he proved he can deal with the league and got a decent look at what's needed. But it IS Coventry City!

Disappointment seems to be always round the corner at CCFC towers, but maybe this year WILL be different. Maybe we won't be calling for Mowbray's head at Christmas after a 5 match losing run at home.

Well that's my one concern, that he said himself, he doesn't know this league. He definitely needs someone alongside him who does know League One, or can advise him.

But he knows higher leagues and jock football which is probably the same as league 1 so we will be ok

We don't want a 'Premiership manager'. Even the dross in our league could hammer most of the sides up there.
