To want a few more in before the end of the transfer window?

I think Swanson is on his way out and likely before the end of August.

I think we have two keepers, cover at rb, lb and cb and cm but are short up front still with just 1 injury.

I'm quite pleased it's all gone quiet and I'm sure tm is doing all he can

No, still need a few bodies. Need a striker or two in and maybe another wide player, difficult to convince people to join when you tell them they won't be first choice because Armstrong is on fire but you might be first choice in January.

Need 1 striker for sure. Of real quality. We need some physicality and strength I think that's obvious. Maybe 2? What happens when Armstrong goes back in January or even before if he gets injured? Who comes in?

Maybe a utility player also for midfield/defence.

Not greedy, we are still very thin on the ground, would love another winger and striker. 2 of both if possible but that would be greedy

Alex gillead on trial, was at Newcastle with Armstrong but got released, 6ft 1 centre forward

We need a striker with some height and power. We maybe need a GK and a RB if we're flush, but to be honest I'd rather we just got the striker in and had a pot in case of injuries/loanee returns that we can dip into to get the right player at the right time.

Seems silly to get 2 strikers in when they both might not play at the moment, same for wingers, Murphy isn't even in the starting line up yet, why bring in another 2 to sit on the bench? Waste of wages unless someone quality comes up on a free, which is highly unlikely. I would like a Stokes on the right though. And a big fucker a la Crewe's number 9.

Sorry, should've been more specific. He doesn't look like the type of striker we need (big and strong). Though if he has an understanding with Armstrong, then let's bring him in.

Squads still thin IMO outside the initial 11.

My first target would be the 'plan B' striker ie a Haber type of player.

You never know when the photo was taken, that could of been him playing for the england under 16's and since he has had a growth spurt or bulked up.

We NEED one target man up front before this window close. The pitch will not allow us to play this kind of lovely football in the winter. Mowbray as said this a couple of time now. I do think we NEED a central midfielder more. Lawton and Finch are not ready to fill in for Fleck and Vincelot. Wonder IF we should have kept Nouble? Big and strong.....

I can see Connor Thomas going out on loan for a month, and perhaps even George Thomas if we get another striker in, he wont even make the bench

love it ahha

i wanna keep swanson myself. we need backup for job, maddison, lamieries and swanson can play any of those positions, hes also pretty good on his day.

big striker needed and i then i am happy with squad. an extra wideman would be a bonus.

maybe a rightback if we have got the cash!

When we had Clarke and Wilson the only drawback we had was we didn't replace Clarke when he left. I don't blame anyone IF we have learnt from that and cover ourselves for when Armstrong goes. So yes we need 2 strikers

Morris we have, but Conor Thomas has missed most of pre season and what happens when Maddison gets injured or suspended?

IF we are going for playoff, then we most have 2 players on each position. I understand your point. BUT none of them are a playmaker minded player, maybe Swanson/Lameiras but I see them more like wingers.

We don't have the budget for that, which is why you have versatile players to fill in.
you also act as though we can only play one formation.
Lameiras is exactly the same as madders in terms of position, which is why those two interchange so much during games, if we have minor injuries we do have players to cover, we don't need another CM YET. Get the striker or 2 in and then worry about other positions

Mowbray is a 4-2-3-1 minded manager. Let's see what the possible relationship with Everton/Tottenham brings after their squads have Been decided. One AMC and 1 or 2 more strikers in. Then we will be ready for push for playoff.

TM is a manager that will change formation to suit players at his disposal and the best one to get the result. He has not used 1 single formation throughout his career.
I doubt we will see a number 10 come in, more likely a winger, and a striker and we will be done.
