Ah I see. Grendel quotes a true fact, (you see what I did there I stated what it was, a fact) and that makes him a SISU apologist :facepalm:
Its like saying Garry Pendry's first name was spelt with two R's, but you will have it as one.

Yes and what is it now. Ours kept on falling whilst other clubs maintained their gates because of failure on the pitch, it ain't rocket science.

No it was just falling back to the norm as the new stadium syndrome faded.

And lower gates mean less income mean less money to invest in players. Ranson said at the start we needed to average 22k to break even. We didnt, so they had to sell.

Yes welcome to the world of a failing business... It isn't inevitable to fail Sisu were just really good at it.

Wouldn't you class a failing business as one that continually makes losses?

So whether the team is successful or failing it makes no difference to gates. Genius.
The owners of a club have no impact on gates whatever they do. Genius.
Ridiculous.

We were failing before they got here, but we were in the Championship with gates of 19k. Their job was to improve things!
Instead we got season after season of failure and relegation. Lower gates come with failure it wasn't inevitable. Or are you suggesting the owners of the club can't do anything to improve gates?
You really are an appalling apologist for Sisu, embarrassing.

I think most people feel embarrassed for you. Clearly stats and analysis aren't your thing.

Do you know where the Ricoh is by the way?

This page shows our average attendances going back pretty much forever:

http://www.european-football-statistics.co.uk/attnclub/covc.htm

This season is our lowest average since 1983, and second lowest since 1962. That happened on SISU's watch, there is no denying that. Gates fluctuate and go in cycles, but the recent decline is alarming - especially when you consider the actual number in attendance is less because they count ST holders who don't turn up. We have to stop this decline.

The gate was 19k when they came, 2.5k had already been lost after the initial new ground appeal had started to rub off.

Take the 2.5k still leaves 7k worth of support gone under SISU.

That site also has where the average attendance ranked alongside the rest of the League-good find.
