Bristol City v Coventry City, 09 April 2012

11v11 football match report for Bristol City v Coventry City, League Championship 2012 , 09 April 2012
www.11v11.com

The game that all but confirmed we were going down... Lucky first goal for us, then a total collapse.

Hopefully, today is a kick up the arse to keep us up!

I sat in the side stand with Bristol City fans. We played rubbish and a depressing experience. Only other visit final game of 77/78 when we thought perhaps the draw was enough to qualify for UEFA cup (It wasn't thanks to Ipswich FA cup win)

There was some funny coincidences with Wycombe, Reading and ourselves all scoring a third goal at nearly the same time

Who from the 2012 lineup would get into today's starting 11?

Can only think Keogh, Cranie and Norwood. Murphy and McSheffrey would make the bench.

I liked Christie but the Forest Fans don’t seem all that enamoured with him

Was at the game as well. It all started so well (from memory). Went 1 up from a deflected free-kick / cross.
Seem to remember that we were playing reasonably well until our full back went off injured (Hussey?). After that we were shite. A bit too simplistic memory. If we’d have won- they would probably have been relegated.
I stand to be corrected, as this is from memory after a few beers....

The only difference between this and the Charlton debacle, well at least the sun was out for one and someone else managed to save us, shudder.
