we had a back 4 last season of :

Willis J.Clarke (Webster/Seaborne) Adams

With Phillips and Haynes playing the odd games.

There's 2 players gone to answer your "what personnel has changed"

We now have:

JC Willis Webster RJ Haynes.

JC playing in his natural RB/RWB position, not CB/LB/ST. Johnson obviously. And Haynes/ Pugh coming in. Hardly one player is it?

My judgements are still out with allsop, but let's wait and see. Got to admit would of liked a more experienced keeper like a kuszczak or paddy kenny if he got fit. Or funnily enough bywater

Guess you haven't seen bywaters mistake against Swindon. In the 90th minute, a cross went straight to him at his near post and he spilt it over his head an in. Hilarious.

Nicely put but we play five at the back have different full backs (Clarke was centre half last year). Allsop isnt as good as Murphy, doesnt command his area and is dodgy on crosses. Is also not very vocal. My view having watched him 4 times.

Not convinced on him either.

I remember him making a bad mistake against us a couple of years ago when playing for orient, allowing McGoldrick to tap in.

Have you watched the game back? He's inconsistent, but if he plays like he did first 60 mins on Friday he certainly ain't shit.

I've watched him this season and last season and he's a crab. Receive the ball, turn play it sideways. He offers us nothing.

I suggest you watch the game back if you can, lots of forward passes, involved in the majority our best attacking play in the first half. And perhaps Pressley has given him a specific role last season just to keep it simple and keep possession ticking over.

I can and have. He just is negative for the majority of the game and is also very weak. We'd benefit from having a strong cm who actually broke up the play well.

The fact you have watched it back and still can't acknowledge that he had an excellent first half tells me everything I need to know.

You do realise he is still only 20?

He's not shit. Did he or did he not play well in the first half on Friday?

And less than appearances at the age of 26 Seb Hines must be the worst footballer to have of played for us.

First question, Thomas was average first half and quite frankly, his lack of ability was shown up by O'Brien and Fleck. He pressed the ball well but all that means really is he is physically fit. He spends too much time on the ball which leads to him losing it and all in all he's a very frustrating player.

I'd probably say he had a good 20 or so minutes. No more. And I'm still trying to get over the THREE good passes he made! Caught me by surprise they did

Still think Hes a weak link in the team though (but always say I hope he goes on to prove me wrong. Just can't see him doing so).

Oh, and he certainly can't shoot Not judging by the tame effort he had after Noubles back heel.......

Just because he had a bad game (where he kept a clean sheet) doesn't mean he'll be a scapegoat.

He's been criticised after every game he's played. I even saw someone call him the worst keeper ever to play for us. The lad's kept 3 clean sheets and probably won us a point at MK away

Wouldn't as far as to say he's the worst we've ever had!

I don't really see why we're playing Allsop, if he's that much better than Burge then we need to get a new, permanent, replacement in. If he's not that much better than why are we wasting time developing someone else's player when we could be developing our own?

We had loan keepers many times in the championship - some such as Fullop and Bywater were a success.

But who were the 'academy' understudies? I doubt they were equal or better than the 'loanee', especially Fulop, who I rated highly (Bywater not so)

You're missing my point. We've got Allsop until January, what happens then? If Burge isn't the answer than let him go and get someone else in who is. If he is the answer than get him in the team. I'm not convinced Allsop is that much better than Burge so it seems to be most of the benefit in playing him is going to Bournemouth.

If, for example, we got Murphy back on a season long loan than I could see the point of picking a more experienced and better keeper ahead of Burge but I don't see that with Allsop.

I'm sick of people saying that we only have these players till Jan. We have the ability to extend the loan to the end of the season if we want to.

It should be Burge's time. He is as good if not better than allsop from what I have seen.
We have given our other youngsters a chance why not him. If it doesn't work then fall back on allsop then sign a decent keeper in January

McGuire was always a short term emergency loan deal.

I think he is a square peg in a round hole.. he isn't naturally a holding midfielder.. something, the sort of thing more typified by the run through & shot he had in the Gills match, has gone out of his game.

So I agree with both Fry & stupot in a way.. there is no doubt the team would be strengthened by having a strong CM, but I think Thomas has some attacking and creative flair about him, which is what first attracted Liverpool & that is being lost in the role he is asked to play.

Was a little critical of him last week but looked a little better today, although not really tested, commanded a bit more which is nice to see. Hope their is more to come each week as still worries me at the back

We have a couple of clean sheets so far with Allsopp on goal but he is our weak link. Doesn't command his area at all.

He had little to do today; he does look suspect on crosses though. I don't know if he shouted in the Webster incident but regardless he needs to be cleaning everybody, including Webster, out in that situation.
