Non-League you mean?

Only posssibly Jodi Jones TBH (ducks for cover). Tongue in cheek aside (just watching him play for NCFC on BT Sport right now) I’ll say again:

Should have kept him and loaned him out first half of this season to L2 or NL. With Palmer out we are really short on AM options without changing the way we play.

He’s competing for a place on the bench with Waghorn at a Champ club. I know where the money would be better invested.

Anyway. Still say JJ was worth keeping given the amount we spent on getting him better.

That’s all.

I was not exactly overwhelmed by the decision to extend Allen’s contract

He was instrumental in League 1 but looked lost in the championship

He’s been something of a revelation this season

Essential cog in the team, high work rate, goals assists and excellent coverage all over the pitch

Picked every week and you can see why.

Another new contract needed. Great today.

He's always done that well; he's progressive and can link the midfield to the attack well.

Always liked Allen as a back up player, but as things stand his experience is standing out because our side is ridiculously young, add in playing for a contract/ putting himself out there for other suitors, you're always going to get players stepping it up a notch when their contract is running down.

Not the best player technically, but unlike a lot of the newer players, a player with a footballing brain and high work rate which is essential in any team. Always sung his praises, has his bad games, but utilised in a midfield three brings out all his best qualities

Looks good in a congested midfield with 3 central defenders behind him.

Play him CM in a 442 or 4411 and he looks lightweight and lost.

Horses for courses I guess.
Fair play to him though, he's looked good since returning, and has taken the opportunity with both hands, and deserves to hold onto the starting place.

To beat a decent(ish) side like Brizzle with no Sheaf, Eccles, Sakamoto, Wright, EMC or Thomas in the starting line up is a good sign.

If he was able to take the ball on the turn he would be as good as sheaf

Moves the ball quicker than Sheaf. Plays well alongside Torp. Fair play to him. Did all the right things today.

Did brilliant as the central pivot today in sheafs absence

A few times caught in possession but overall did find even if crowd urging him not to go backwards he did the right thing most of the time

I feel like torp is coming on leaps and bounds too btw

Might need to reassess my opinion on him, it’s only been 1 game though! Bit more consistency and he’ll be first name on team sheet

Disagree about Allen stepping with a contract in mind. I think he steps up every time he plays. Can never fault his endeavour. He leaves everything on the pitch.

He's not the cleanest taker of the ball but gets involved and gets in the way with lots of energy!

He was excellent. So good at the basics. Sometimes that's all you need, even in a £45m squad.

Always liked him playing, 100% every time, looks like he really wants it. Last two games, he has made a big contribution with his eye for a simple pass and move and winning the 2nd ball which had improved massively.

Was very good today - again.

Don’t think he was fancied by Lampard at first as he was getting zero game time. I reckon he’s one of the first on the team sheet currently.

He is limited on the ball, there was a point today when a long through ball to BTA was on down the right and he opted for the easy short ball as he likely felt he couldn’t make the pass.

But his energy, positional sense and willingness to receive the ball have had a big impact.
