Haven't been on in a few days, so may seem a bit like I'm jumping on a bandwagon...however...I am mates with a couple of the youth coaches at the club.and up until Tuesday was a fan of andy thorn....apparently mood on the training ground is as low as even under hoofroyd. Gael feels like the manager has unfairly treated him an they are not talking...what my mate told me went a lot further...wasn't sure weather he was exaggerating...but yesterday, again, not 100%, but Cyrus is a friend of a friend, he says senior players and management do not speak to him or treat him right...these two stories from totally different people, but it is not rumour. Direct from them,..,.just passing on

my mate who went to barnsley heard off a very good source that the players have no respect for thorn.

after the ipswich game he told the players they were unlucky and if any had something to say. gary mc said yes sort the midfield out, since then bigi not played a game. also he heard the players think thorn is too nicey nicey to them and they have an easy ride.

also something about juke been in middlesbrough on deadline day and had a medical done and dusted but had a call last minute off thorn and told him the deal was going through

all starting to add up now

what turns out to be false? think about it? players during the barnsley game didnt seem interested. reason boothroyd left because the players didnt want him. the same could now be happening with thorn. players will always win over the manager.

Exactly mate. I cant actually say how I know...as me pals would be in the shit. But they told me exactly that...I thought till yesterday that thorn had respect and full support. What my mate told me, literally made my jaw drop. A very experienced former player of ours, who is still at the club (please read between lines) says 'it is the worst atmosphere of any club he has been too. I hate to think that people think this is bullshit. It is not. I am in shock. There is madness going on, from Eastwood to Gael, Cyrus, the lot...carnege!!!!

Don't know Mumford at all. But put both our 'rumours' together and things seem to make sense.

As factual as it gets?! Erm, no! A Fact is as factual as it gets. Someone being told something by someone who may or may not be a Coventry player is hearsay! I'm not saying they didn't say it, but to post it as fact is un-wise. And even if they did say it they should then take a long hard look at themselves and maybe fix themselves up. Throwing toys out the pram isn't exactly very constructive for the position the whole club finds itself in.

The fact he has gone, may turn out to be false. the players have given up beacuse under sisu they see no future, kids being run into the ground beacuse we have no squad. lies being told to the press every week, no loans coming in, sale no sale!! yes thorn has made mistakes, but i can not believe he would dis the kids, he always speaks highly of them.
gael not playing beacuse of fall out...or not playing beacuse he was shocking at Ipswich, he is ta kid, he needs rest and playing in a succesfull side to progress, not thrown into the lions den!!

This can hardly be a surprise. Well the atmosphere at least, can't comment on the Gael or Cyrus 'rows'. We are losing, looking like relegation, players frozen out, players in the side who are woefully short of class, no investment, no contract offers, lacking experience in the dressing room and on the pitch, have unrest among the fans and the board, massive financial problems, an inexperienced manager with no track record, declining attendances, failed takeover bids, the list goes on - hardly a recipe for harmony.

Okay mate, wires crossed. I am sure people know much more than i do about the inner working's of our club!

Rob was correct above and as i mentioned, i can not see much harmony with all going on.

i personally hope he hasn't gone....not had much chance has he.

Wingy, nobody has said ANYTHING about the running of the club? And NOBODY disagrees that's a dogshit operation. People ARE allowed a more balanced view though other then having to be one side or the other.

There HAS been too much good news on this forum today anyway, needed this!!

As With Mumford, I don't claim to know anything about thorn leaving in any shape. And I personally have never booed or chanted for a manager to leave (barring being pissed up when Watford smashed us)...but players are apparently lacking respect for manager.......and it came across wrong in type. Not sure of a falling out with young lads as such. But just things ain't right with them, either in the team or with the manager....

I heard exactly the same story as Mumford.

Although I'm pretty sure it was off the same lad.

Something about a little get together after the Barnsley match as well.

I'd rather the useless clowns that stroll around the pitch go, would be happy for half the squad to leave to send out a statement to the rest.

gary mc said yes sort the midfield out
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the midfield he has been part of? Besides I think these rumours of unrest are untrue/over exaggerated. Thorn has already laid the law with Eastwood anyone with a bad attitude will not be part of his plans, if it is true then I think it is unprofessional of the players. The players are just trying to dump there inadequacies on the current manager.
The players were shit under Coleman = Coleman's fault
The players were shit under Boothroyd = Boothroyd's fault
The players are shit under Thorn = Thorn's fault
What is the common factor in all of this "The players are shit"
It is like a builder trying to build a house with mud and straw instead of bricks.
