I think Ansari and Duckett will be replaced by Batty & Buttler for the next test and possibly Broad rested for Woakes.

The pitch is just going to turn even more in the next few tests so we need to gear up accordingly i.e. less seamers.

It was a disappointing end to the test, we all knew we were not going to win but those quick wickets killed any life we had. Anyway onwards and upwards.

Seven players make under 10 runs with three ducks. That sums up England. And people keep saying we have a long tail.
You could have predicted almost our exact score based on the mathematical progression of the previous three innings (455-255-204-158).

That's carrying the criticism of Duckett a bit too far!

The new England kits seem to have been designed by a blind person.

Going to Lords on Sunday with the lad for England v Ireland. £35 for the two of us - should be good.

Cracking start to the T20 by England.

Yep. Tis indeed.

Anyone's favourite format of the game?

I must confess test matches at times can be very boring, the Ashes apart, so I do like the full throttle of T20. Not a lot at all in the way of defensive shot and lots of boundaries and wickets.

Think it is the one derivative of the game I could go and physically watch.

Love test cricket. Wasn't a fan of T20 at first but I've got into it now. Not sure we need T20 and the longer one day games.

Test match for me still the pinnacle of the game.

Mason Crane is one to look out for over the next couple of years!

Yeah, tend to agree. I think just test match (and obviously county) and then T20. Ditch the longer on day stuff.

Yeah. First time I have seen him, but he looks very decent.

I do like test cricket, but even fans of the game have to accept that it can be incredibly boring at times.

How many other forms of sport have people falling asleep while the game is being played out?

Village cricket on a Sunday, my old club's ground overlooked the Firth of Forth. Get a golden duck, admire the view and scoff all the teas when nobody's looking.

Had a bloke fall asleep next to me at the Ricoh last season whilst we were in the top 6 and playing some decent stuff!

Yeah interesting one this and will be interesting whether Morgan jumps ship for the test team. I wonder whether he can play for both? I.e. Ireland for test and England for ODI?

Two strange places for tours though equally?

Won't be able to do both.

Good move hopefully both will be given enough games, time and finances to improve

As soon as England have a space they should tour Ireland to help their finance

End of an era this will be!

Hard to think of a more eccentric sports commentator than this chap!

And more rubbish one, sometimes when I used to listen all I wanted was the score and he would be waffling on about anything but the game also went to see him at the Belgrade and it was a very boring evening.

awful start having said that he is still at wicket so maybe he can rack up a decent score to save some embarrassment. Again another poor opening from England, why cant we get this right?!

Great effort from the England bowlers, especially Ali with 4-59.

SA all out for 361, England have a first innings lead of 97.
