I hope they keep Thorpe as people were saying about Ramprakash being the replacement.

I think Ramprakash was before him or has done it before in one of the formats.

I thought so, so why would they think of him again?

Good news, KP has ruled himself out from running English cricket. Can't think of anyone worse to be in charge of making important decisions.

To be fair, Pietersen recently suggested about modernising county cricket and doing a “hundred” style format franchise system where the best play against the best.

Pietersen frequently embraces innovation with cricket even though he has an abrasive personality

Not the best start to the World Cup final from England, currently 18-2.

47-5, made a proper mess of this. At least it makes the choice of sticking with the cricket or switching to our game easy.

Strauss wielding a big axe. Jimmy and Broad among the casualties.
So relying on a load of quick bowlers - more than a few of those are injury prone.
Batting doesn't seem much better. Going to play on some difficult wickets.

Given the major problems we had scoring runs during the winter I'm not sure the solution is to drop your two highest wicket takers, and its been made very clear they've been dropped not rested.

Looks like Harrison might finally be on his way out of the ECB, sure he'll wait until his bonus has been paid. Don't celebrate too soon as Daniel Gidney is on the list of potential replacements

Has to go.
has completely messed up the structure of English cricket.
Need someone strong who can sort out the counties and bite the bullet on this Hundred fiasco.

Stokes needs runs here if he's in as a batsman not an all rounder.

the consensus from those out there seems to be that the pitch isn't to blame.

Holder 5 overs, 5 maidens and 1 wicket. On a side note just saw someone wearing a Cov top, let's hope we have a better night tonight than he is having watching this lot.

Same old same old. Lack of technique and playing at balls that should be left alone in the 1st session of a Test match - except for Root who probably had the previous ball miss in his mind

Recovering and playing a TEST innings (both of them). Can't blame them for the earlier wickets, but both in as batsmen only and seem to have played themselves in. Bet now i've said it they are both out in 30 mins lol

Foakes going for it, bet a quick 20-30. It's test cricket, not 20/20. Come on England

It’s finished better than we could have hoped for thanks to Bairstow and some support down the order, i fancy us to get near to 375 now which is good enough from where we’ve been over the last year,

Sitting watching the ladies World Cup and England have a fair side but some of them look in terrible condition and having watched Brunt bowl she is there on name alone.

Getting fed up of waking up to news of another England defeat. Not much chance of retaining the World Cup if we can't beat the West Indies Women. A performance like that and then in the post match interview the captain says "we're not too concerned", you should be.

They should be very concerned as the ecb have poured money in to the women’s game, Shrubsole is massively overweight and waddles in and Brunt is all snarl but no action and in the field they were appalling.

Time to refresh

They got battered in the Ashes, if the World Cup is another disaster then you've got to look to bring in some of the younger players. There's a lot of players in the England side who have been there many years and possibly are no longer there on merit. Maybe a clean out and start building a new team.

If Issy Wong is worse than Shrubsole then she should look to pack it in.
