Re: The eccentric statements of Adrian Neil Boothroyd

How long will it be before Boothroyd is shown the exit? I hope he takes Clive Platt with him. Platt is as much use as a cardborad cutout, and Boothroyd needs treatment for thinking he's any good.

Their fault for hiring him, thought this was going to be related to us playing there

Always seems to do alright for a bit whatever league he's managing in....people then realise how shit his tactics are and that they aren't difficult to play against

I have only seen Northampton play once under Boothroyd and that was the play-off final and in my opinion it was a gutless shameful performance by his side.

It was one of the most one sided games let alone finals I have seen and the way they tried to counteract Bradford with long balls into the corners was incredibly poor. If that's the type of football the fans have been seeing , like what we saw when he was with us i'm surprised he hasn't had more critics from cobbler fans. My brother in laws Dad goes regularly and he thinks its pretty dire but most weeks, but they do out muscle opposition and pick up the points especially at home last season. I wouldn't want to watch it I know that, and in hindsight whoever decided to get rid of him at Coventry made a very good decision.

Oh yes we've excelled since his departure. What's his successor doing in the management world now?

By the way I've met him in his capacity at Northampton. I cannot comment this season but prior to that he was the most popular manager in a community I've seen.

He took over at Northampton when they were on their knees and facing relegation from the league and the following season took them to the pay off final.
Not a lover of his tactics but can be quite an effective manager.

Exactly. Got Watford to the Premier league with an unfancied side. He's not that bad, it's just a bit dull to watch.

Lacking in a variety of tactics.
A manager who would only be appreciated by someone who struggled to play football themselves

FFS Grendal, I didn't mention his successors at all ,and I don't give a flying fuck if he was popular, does it bloody matter if he is popular. So are you saying now that you have brought it up, that you would rather watch Boothroyds football or the football we are playing now, or if like me you haven't seen them this season ,the reports of the football we are playing

The topic I was on was the game I saw Northampton on Tele and if you wouldn't mind, could I give my opinion on it without receiving your mindless comments.
