I never understood why clubs do that?! Wasn't it the same with Calum Davenport (sorry, his name has popped into my head, after reading about the sick news of him getting stabbed earlier) - he was signed from us then got loaned out straight away? (I can't remember who signed him from us, was it Spurs?)
