He was being linked with blues but I thought he was still under contract so not a free agent and not an option for us unless released. Then there’s the wages and injury record but hell of a player.

His contract was terminated. Still not a realistic option for us wage wise I would imagine.

Because our owner won’t spend money? Weird it’s an option for Brum who are a promoted side. They must have ambition

There has to be a heavy dose of realism applied by players of this ilk too.
Do they really want to continue in the sport even though they are made for life anyway?
We won't be paying you based on your former 'glories'.
Ah, couldn't help noticing your age also.

His signing video is him holding up his contract saying "I believe we have a piece of our side"

I mean it's obviously not happening, but I can't understand people saying they wouldn't touch him?

A player of his quality in this league would be a fantastic signing.

As long as his wages are reasonable I'd have no issues... but there's no way his wages are reasonable.
There's also the fact he's made out of spaghetti but if he stayed fit he would be a top player in this league.

His wages will have to be reasonable. He has to stay in England and if no prem teams are interested he has little choice. He’s a multi millionaire as is his wife, I think hell just want to play. He could get plenty of money in Saudi but won’t want to be away from his young family

I believe it is peace for our time. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Now I recommend you go home and sleep quietly in your beds, cos I'm not signing him.

Or if they fail their salaries paid to players will spiral out of control.

It’s alright though mate, we went for hughes and sakyi but didn’t get them over the line! That’s what I call top ambition, at least Doug tried his best

Surely this needs to get over the line. The owner has admitted that he has left the squad incredibly thin and that Lampard is not impressed.

The two areas we are thin are central midfield and out wide. Chamberlain covers both of those positions. He has played with Lampard in the past and he can clearly still play at a decent enough level having been at Besiktas.

Fitness is the issue but we wouldn’t be asking him to play 40 games. He would only need to manage 20.

He has a young family in Cheshire and they clearly don’t want to move as they haven’t followed him at any point in his career. Perrie has family here in Coventry / Leamington.

It seems to make so much sense and I’m surprised it’s taking this long to get done. If Brum do manage to sign him, they’re extending the gap in quality between us and them even more.

If we were to sign him, I will sing the Doug King song loud and proud.

So basically you want to sign him.

We have no idea whether Frank wants to sign him (regardless of having worked with him before).

We have no idea whether the player would want to come here.

Whether bringing him here would be economically viable and within our wage structure. You could piss a lot of players off and kick off a wage spiral within the squad.

But basically because you want to sign him DK is the bad boy until the deal is done.

We only need him to play 20 times a year is a strange justification for signing an injury prone player. Because of course he will be fit on the 20 occasions we need him

Is the main driver why Boosh wants us to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain so he can be a fan boy if his partner comes to watch him play.
