Surely this needs to get over the line. The owner has admitted that he has left the squad incredibly thin and that Lampard is not impressed.

The two areas we are thin are central midfield and out wide. Chamberlain covers both of those positions. He has played with Lampard in the past and he can clearly still play at a decent enough level having been at Besiktas.

Fitness is the issue but we wouldn’t be asking him to play 40 games. He would only need to manage 20.

He has a young family in Cheshire and they clearly don’t want to move as they haven’t followed him at any point in his career. Perrie has family here in Coventry / Leamington.

It seems to make so much sense and I’m surprised it’s taking this long to get done. If Brum do manage to sign him, they’re extending the gap in quality between us and them even more.

If we were to sign him, I will sing the Doug King song loud and proud.

Yes and Perrie is pregnant

Leamington would be the perfect place to raise a baby

I'd only do that if, as he was about to sign, he waved the contract in the air and said, ' I have in my hand a piece of paper'.

Diamond league meeting, I’m sure someone will post the link. He made a sarcastic comment about how he had to meet Lampard the following day to discuss how ‘exciting’ the window had been

Doug could do a 2 for 1 and sign him on the proviso he books little mix for a gig at the stadium

No thanks, Far too injury prone for the amount it would cost to bring him in.

I'd take him. I'd also take Dasilva, depending on how far along his recovery is.

I'd only take Dasilva on a PAYP deal, he's played just 5 times since May 2023.

He's probably just written a piece about DK's thin squad comment at the Diamond club and added a hint of speculation.

It was a comment from King talking about an end of window review with Frank. This is not the same as the dialogue through out the window.

Saw that presentation. King admitted that the squad was a bit thin. Made a joke about meeting Lampard about the window. He will no doubt explain what transpired. At no point could anyone (except you clearly), know that Lampard had expressed an opinion one way or another.
Frank is a realist, and of course he wanted more players as he hinted earlier in the window, but facts not supposition are needed here.
The Ox I suspect, is outside our wage structure. Can see him ending up at Brum, Wrexham or one of the parachute clubs.

He was being linked with blues but I thought he was still under contract so not a free agent and not an option for us unless released. Then there’s the wages and injury record but hell of a player.
