I’m now taking on the traits of an alcoholic

I sneak into the fridge and get a new can when the kids aren’t watching just so they think I’m still drinking from the same one.

The other night I decanted Stella into a Becks Blue bottle all evening and took all the plaudits from the Mrs when she was talking to her Mum saying how good I was being drinking alcohol free.

My life is a sham!!!!

My name is Covkd1968 and I’m an alcoholic

I’ll freely admit I’ve panic bought potatoes and alcohol. Got 5 crates of Stella. 3 crates of Guinness. 3 crates of thatchers gold. And about 10 bottles of red wine.

Still saved about £500 buy not going out or to pubs or anything this month though. It’s absolutely mental how much I spend without thinking about it. Taxis, beers, rounds, dodgy food. All adds up.

Are you going to use the Potatoes to make your own if you run out?

I haven't bought a crate because I know I will just hammer it so just go to the shop every couple of days. I resorted to trying every beer and go to the Eastern European treacle.

Back to work next week though so won't be able to sit in my shorts with a beer working

I’ve got a couple of crates of strongbow coming tonight with my Tesco delivery as well. I read a thing about the mentality behind panic buying and it’s essentially the one thing we can currently control with everything that’s going on. Beers ready to go and I’m set.

I’ve had to go back into the office for day shifts which is a bit of a shit one but I can understand why. We manage a couple of server rooms on site. But 99% of the job can be done from home. Couple of people ballsed up the the other weekend though and management seemed desperate to get people back in because of it. They’ve set up a temperature check gate in reception and if you are 38 degrees or over they are sending people home. So I’m going to blast the heating full on my car on the way in to warm myself up. Leaving the beer on ice at home.

With the wife and son being at her mums it’s pure call of duty warzone, pants and beer. Luckily I don’t put weight on ever because if I did I’d be massive now.

I assume that's supermarket alcohol sales rather than total? I really worry for pubs after this disaster. Cannot wait to get back the pub and have a proper pint, drinking from home is OK but not a patch on a decent pint in a decent pub.

Realised earlier that all my T shirts have shrunk in the wash over the past couple of months. No exercise, no gym or football but lots of beer.

Had a FIFA tournament setup in a group chat but they are all sweaty bastards who only have a square pass in them.

I think it suits me to be fair. World class hairline for a 36 year old. But yeah. Don’t cut your hair in bed as a rule.

Worse because the really short bits of hair stick into your skin and you have to pluck them out

Lots of things wrong about this particular thread... I don’t want this image in my head whilst doing the University Payroll this afternoon.....people need paying. I’ll rejoin later when I’ve topped up my Becks Blue to see what else Hill83 has done to himself.

This morning I had 18 pints of 'Atomic Lockdown' Ale delivered courtesy of The Victoria Inn in Rugby.

Kept cool it should last a couple of weeks. Whether there's anything left by Monday remains to be seen!

Thought you were saying you’d polished off 18 pints this morning for a second.

I looked into getting some of that Sky Blue Beer, it's £3 for 330ml though which is a bit steep.

On a brewery tour or an occasion then maybe but not for sat about in the house.

The Atomic Brewery Ale is £35 for 18 pints. A fiver goes to NHS Charities.

Yeah for that price it would need to be good or kept for winning the league as a memento like those FA cup ones.

Can get 3 for a fiver in big bottles of ale from ASDA or 8 Oranjebooms for about £6.

Yeah I wouldn't mind paying a bit over the odds to try them then.

If anyone was thinking of getting some Sky Blue Beer they're doing home delivery and have a free t-shirt offer.

It is free delivery anyway when you buy that many. I had a look but even with a free t shirt it is expensive for what it is.

Oranjeboom is shite, you basically get what you pay for with beer most of the time

Not always, some of the fancy craft stuff is awful for the price.
