This must be an appointment by reputation because they haven't clearly seen his style of play.

Just when you think the FA can't get anymore ridiculous too..

Euro 2016: forget it

World Cup 2018: forget it

Euro 2020: Hoofball!!!

The FA got John Beck in for some role, this is like Daniel-san joining Mr Miyagi. The future's bright, the future's a neck strain.

Got to be a wind up.
If not then Grendel is in the FA committee.
Which to be fair would make a lot of things make sense

Bloody hell, it's not a wind-up!

They must have been impressed by his CV. Miserable failure at CCFC. Sacked by the bottom club in Division 4. Scintillating football played everywhere he's been.

I utterly despair for the national game.

It's nice to know that it's not only SISU who make decisions that no one else can understand

I'm actually stunned, I thought this was more trolling on here.

On what basis has he been appointed? This is the manager that has just been sacked by Northampton; before that Andy Thorn stepped in to get us getting relegated, yes, Andy Thorn stepped in. And lets not even get onto his style of play which should be banned.

Mate, everything comes in cycles. In ten years time everyone will be playing on mudbaths, using 2-stone medicine balls, and have two very big lads up front.

For the first time ever, the F.A. are ahead of the curve. Embrace the horror.

Didn't Woy also get Thorn in as a scout for the England set-up.

AT: "Alright Roy, got acouple of gret defenders that would be great for the England team, well under everybodys radar, it's only due to my exceptional scouting abilities that I'm able to help save English football"

RH: "Great Andy, who are they?"

AT: "William Edjenguele and Kevin Malaga, great lads, solid"

RH: "Bil and Kev eh,sound good English names there, hold on a minute" Get's his smartphone out and starts fiddling with it, "Hold on Andy, Wikipedia says that they're French, don't have clubs, and have never played anywhere the top leagues, or hardly at all in any leagues anywhere".

AT: "You know what Wikipedia is like Roy, always full of madeup stuff, I changed it to keep them "off the radar" if you know what I mean? Besides, they can train full time with you before the World Cup with no other distractions, have the best drilled centre-backs at the whole World Cup "

RH: "Well done Andy! Excellent plan, have you got their numbers I'll get them straight down the training camp"
