How hard would it be to be ready if it comes to it i mean if 10,000 fans donated £20 a month then thats 200,000 in a month we could just build it up not saying we should do it just an idea or invest it in the club ourselves but no one would probs not while sisu are in charge!

so thoughts?

I already have £1.83 saved up in my daughter's piggy bank ready for such an inevitability.

We're not quite at that stage yet

Who are these 10000 fans who would donate? I'm sure there's a lot of talk, but when it comes down to it I don't believe people actually would prefer being out of the league entirely with nothing as opposed to League One and nothing.

But in League 1 we will still have something. SISU!

I hate all this AFC Coventry stuff. SISU is a temporary thing, they will move on eventually. No point starting all over again cos of that. If you want that go support Cov Sphinx or something.

AFC Coventry will never happen. We would be mad to do that.

I would like to say that if 32000 turned up every week then we could get more income and buy better players, go up the league and be successful. They won't though because:

1) they can't be bothered
2) they are not going until <name of board> is no longer there.
3) I'll turn up when we play Chelsea/Man Utd/arsenal/Liverpool/Man City (delete as appropriate) not any other time.
4) etc, etc

Personally, I wouldn't pay £20 a month to AFC Coventry as I support CCFC and I support them through my season ticket and will continue to support them.

Reports that SISU liquidating the club so they disappear without a trace are greatly exaggerated.

My advice (and this is only my view) is support the team you follow now. Coventry City.

If 32k turned up every Saturday sisu still wouldn't spend any money.

If 32k turned up at the Ricoh Ian would be on CWR complaining about the noise, parking and how long it took him to get to his Nissan Sunny after the game that he almost missed calling the station

Every fan would be behind the SISU Out movement in such an eventuality.

Don't think it's a too bad an idea, I don't want to see us go down the AFC cov route until this club goes down the pan, CCFC are my team and while we are still running i won't be supporting another, but it would give us a safety net if the worst was to happen, it gives us solid foundations to build upon. Once Sisu sold up, i would be happy for the money to go into buying new players or to buy part of the club.

Think some people are missing the point. When people speak of AFC Coventry that is only in the event of CCFC not existing anymore. If the club went completely tits up. That is the scenario that promotes the question.

With doubts over our very future i think this is quite valid and proper.

Torchomatic, so true, so true. The useless supporters this club has. Any excuse not to go. Price, this manager, this player, that chairman, that board, the stadium blah blah. I dislike SISU as much as anyone, but they're not on the pitch.
AFC City - I wouldn't totally discount it.
