I don't understand Swindon's or Rotherham's? They were both in administration twice, 2 years after the first time. I'm not interested in the financial side of the game enough to learn anything about it (sorry to those that are)! But it's my understanding that when a club is in administration, an administrator comes in to reduce debt enough for the club to carry on running. Is that correct? Now, I would've thought any administrator would try to reduce those debts enough for a club to carry on running without the threat of administration for more than 2 years? So what's gone on there?

Yet they have all finished in the top 6 of a league since they went into administration.

True but rules are very different now. There never used to be any penalty to going into administration - points, transfer embargo or anything.Leicester abused the situation - I am sure they got promoted in either the same season or the season after going. Sadly we should have done this once Premier League status dissappeared and the debts started to escalate. MacGinnity refused as the creditors were mostly board directors and we are paying a heavy price still for that.

I remember Leicester abusing the rules (and Leeds, didn't they?). But I still would have thought if you go into administration once it would hold off the threat of it again for more than 2 years?

I can't see us going into admin any time soon. My understanding (right or wrong) is we only really own money to sisu. I think sisu have plenty of money, they just don't want to spend it on CCFC anymore, they want the club to run as a going concern on its own. (mental)

If they put us into admin they would be righting off there own money. our death by a thousand cuts isn't going to end soon.

(goodness, I sound like a SISU lover, i'm really not, just trying to see it from there point of view.... a bit..... the twats)

What is strange that all these clubs are still in existence. We have posters on here that when we have discussed going into administration believe we will cease to exist and that Sisu are our only hope !!!!!!!!!!!!!:thinking about:

I agree with that. It really is nonsense to talk AFC Coventry etc. No club of this size has in the history of football been liquidated. I can think of very few Accrington, Newport, Maidstone all small cubs with crippling debts to the taxman - oh the mighty Aldershot as well.

No administration is unfortunate but really other than the points deduction and a transfer embargo there is no difference - and the transfer embargo will not be noticed here anyway.

I heard Sisu applied for a voluntary transfer embargo

Not all in existence - Chester are the ones I know of, may be others. Also some not exactly done well out of it and are grateful they still have a team to support - many outside the football league, so if league one is where we bottom out, then we will have been comparatively lucky.
