I think he deserves some plaudits, obviously a great footballing mind, has had a lot of influence on the way we play and gives us a good link to one of the best academies in the world.

Can we hold on to him though? Surely he's going to be a candidate for League One and Two jobs next year.

Some would say he’s the real secret behind our success in recent years.

I believe he has made Mark Robins a better manager, and there is no harm in that.. It's Coventry city's version of clough and Taylor lol

And how would they know? Surely all that can be said from the outside looking in is that Robins and Viveash are a good team?

I know that it was a case of adapting our playing style to suit the environment, but looking back at how we played in league 2 to now is significantly different and I can't help think that AV has been central to that change.

Didn't he say originally he wanted to play the formation but Robin's wasn't keen?

I've always been sceptical of peoples assessments of assistant managers.
However, Viveash has been fairly high profile for a number 2, I have read more than one lengthy interview with him where it is clear how influential he has been and I've also noticed it on the rare occasion at an away game when I've been behind the dugout and watched him in action. I definitely agree that he's been a huge reason for our success.

And I also agree with your last comment that they are a good team. Long may it continue.

I think he loves to coach players didn’t he say somewhere that he didn’t want to leave Chelsea but was falling out of love with it because he was doing more management and less on field Coaching so I can’t see him leaving for a manager job

Adi Viveash was at Chelsea when Conte was manager, playing 3-4-3. Robins has been a 4-2-3-1 / 4-4-2 man his entire career.

Robins clearly trusts his old team mate. The role of an assistant manager’s role isn’t to be a ‘yes man’, but to advise and challenge the manager constructively.

Two promotions in three years, the two clearly make a good team and we’re a club who has provided them right conditions for them to thrive (and vice versa).

Yes I think he was pushing the 4231 last season I’m sure I heard that mentioned

I saw an interview somewhere that AV stated he likes coaching and bringing his ideas forward whether the manager adapts them or not. But clearly there has been plenty of input for MR's, and no doubt influenced many decisions. That is the mark of an excellent manager/coach team working together that was the epitome of the Clough/Taylor era. I think they are an excellent working partnership and do not see AV considering any manager role at a lower level. Together they are really building something that works, and I fully expect that excellence to continue, and is the reason I'm confident of a good season in the Championship. No doubt both their salaries will rise to the ocasion. If we continue our sucessful improvement I can't see either of them leaving. They are already building legendary status at the club. Afterall we are not Brentford or Wycombe, we are Coventry City.

If these two can somehow take this club to the premier league within 3-5 years it would be one of the greatest success stories in the history of football surely?
