It should be easy for a capable Republican but as we've said, Trump isn't one. He's a 'Trumpist'. The point is that just like Obama he is not able to implement what he wants due to his opposition- whether it's democrat or republican. Obama consistently claimed Trump wouldn't win- that's giving grief- in a position of power he wrote Trump off and had it thrown back in his face. And the last point is correct, the non-dick achieved little in eight years and as a result, the dick had to be brought in. Tell me, if the difference between them is so black and white (pun genuinely not intended), why did Trump win? Clearly it's because Obama failed. Hence, Obama led to Trump.

Last time I was in the states in March I spoke to several people who voted for trump but weren't keen on him but they absolutely hated hilary. I never really got to the bottom of why.
It was a factor in Trump's win, but not in his rise. Any republican (Rubio, Cruz, Paul, etc) would have defeated Hillary. The woman is the anti-Christ to many Americans. The point is that Trump trounced the republican nomination, and broke the record for votes cast in it by over a million, by critising Obama and vowing to be the opposite. I know it's hard to hear, but Obama did not achieve anywhere near what he wanted to and as a result we have Trump in the White House.

Nobody had a clear view of whatever outcome could lead to. As I have said before - a remain vote could easily have led to a collapse of negotiating power at the EU table as the 'will of the people' giving a mandate for the EU to impose upon the UK at will...& that thrown into the argument at every hint of UK opposition to anything. It might not - we will never know.

The lack of being able to take part in decision making in the European area - where we are based - is due to Brexit.
The EU doesn't exist to impose it's will on it's members. The 'will' is decided upon by the members themselves- including Britain. Now that we are no longer in it, it / they will decide how Europe develops without us having any say at all.

I love a bit of time lapse stereo.The word is negotiate not decide. The negotiations with the EU is what will decide the terms. The final terms will be a compromise based on negotiations. No one is going to get the brexit they want whether that be Gove, Ferage or Joe Public. That's why it's going to be a mess and that is why it will be argued over for decades. It's also why no one knew what they voted for regardless of how much they protest they did. No one and I mean no one knows what the final outcome is likely to be including Davies.
The way to can this narrow win rubbish is for parliament to pass a referendum act that makes it mandatory for them to enact the result of any future referendum if the result is over (say) 55% for a change and to do nothing otherwise. As it stands they can ignore any result if they wish. I'm pretty sure they'll fudge the issue & no one will get what they want in the end.

Where has anyone been a apologist or in favour of right wing extremism? I just don't think people are comfortable seeing a bunch of people stamping and punching someone on the floor. The only good person in those 2 videos is the guy who jumped on top to protect a human being. Anyone is comfortable with the violence in these videos and wants to justify it one way or another has serious problems.
