I haven't got the exact figures on me, but they have consistently made 500k (give or take) profit a year, bar one year, they made 3.5m, an anomaly OSB explained, but can't remember what he said exactly.

They aren't stable without CCFC, and would have to radically change if CCFC, for what ever reason, ceased to play at the RICOH.

They'd definitely be in a worse position, but they've been following a strategy of reducing reliance on CCFC for some years now.

Here is a post OSB made in Nov 2011 which sets it out.

The deal with the council backed loan reduced the risk though SBT. Not saying it wouldnt be a massive struggle to stay afloat for ACL if CCFC left but it isnt like saying they are now showing a net 728k loss before loss of profit share on the joint venture

They have i understand made a saving on the amount of interest that they are due to pay each year...... i dont know the figure but say it is 300k. If they then look at their staffing costs they may well be able to shed costs and let the joint venture with Compass do the bookings marketing etc. Current costs £1m say that was halved ? 500k. The joint venture might make smaller profits (it isnt the turnover that is important in that respect) but apparently CCFC only accounts for 18% or so - so say they make £1m in joint venture profis that would leave ACL missing 500k x 18% = 90k ( a figure they are prepared to give up to CCFC anyway apparently). So not so bad so far. The area that is not so certain is just how much sponsorship they would lose - that is the income they need to make up, would they lose it all?

Bottom line to all this is that it doesnt and never has made sense for either CCFc or ACL to go their seperate ways ............... that is what I find frustrating

Yeah it is all a bit crazy, I wish they'd agree a deal and get on with it. But I suspect we're due a lot more of this s**t yet!

I would like to see, from someone - anyone - a suggestion at to how the club + arena under a single ownership could be profitable. For me the sums just don't add up.

I agree that ACL owning CCFC is far preferable to languishing under the ownership of SISU, but it could at best be a short term fix - they could get the ground and club into the same entity and try to sell on...but I just don't see how it would be an attractive package to investors.

Like what? I wish they'd started on the mens' toilets.

Also the £500,000 profit per year is only that low as ACL spent money on improvements on the Arena.

I'm in the first two groups, and rapidly getting towards joining the third.
