This new offer seems to show ACL keen to get this judicial review of the radar? They're obviously concerned about the legal implications of this £14m...

The same as Sisu not wanting the CVA rejected for fear of an investigation?

We are all just guessing.

I would say it is more you scratch our back we will scratch yours ,I think it may have been added as ACL think for whatever reason they have SISU over a barrel and want to get this out the way therefore removing any risk of court action which will incur more lawyers fees .

We all know Sisu have got many skeletons in the closet. There's a few on here though who think the sun shines out of ACLs arse. Just saying that in my own opinion, they're probably not as pure white as people think.

Not saying ACL are whiter than white ,it just seems that with this and the 10 year rent deal stipulation that SISU are desperate to get the CVA signed ,and I do not believe the reason for this is to avoid points deduction as if move to Northampton goes ahead it will not matter if in league 1 or 2 next season as attendance would be similar infact if I was SISU I would rather have the points deduction as if they start to catch up the points it will gain more column inches and more interest than if they start on 0 points and endure mid table mediocrity,I am sure there is another motive that SISU are desperate to sign and get the CVA out of way .

If its a 10 year deal I would ask for it up front with money being refunded based on league status each year. Or perhaps a £1m bond.

Nobody wants a court case hanging over their heads . Think we'll find out on Friday how important securing the Ricoh is to sisu

perhaps but legal stuff can be very expensive even when you are right. Like the guardian journalist whose life was almost ruined for saying some chiropractors were quacks who believed they could cure all sorts of things like asthma.

There is a bit of incentive there for everyone as well, namely ACL get £400K in the Championship. Premier League ??????
150K a month is a pittance to pay even at this level. Equates to 50p per person per game.
F&B etc was circa <£200K. SISU snatch their hands off and place your efforts in getting us up the Leagues.
You could have >5000 season tickets in the bag by this time next week. >£1.25M
This time next year you could be forgiven.

I would say its more of an inconvenience, particularly as other clubs like Northampton have allegedly done similar. In addition several clubs are backed by their local council which could have similar implications.
Nothing to hide .............. move on.

Yes, they would be daft not to get something up front. After all, who says SISU won't play along for a few months then say sod it, we're not paying the rent.

The idea here is to draw a line under the affair, stop suing the arse of each other and compromise on a long term agreement that can provide a way forward for each party.

Well if this deal doesn't come off then the future holds some sort of mutually assured destruction scenario..

So why do they want SISU/CCFC to drop their legal investigations into it? Genuine question....

I suspect as JG says, as much as anything it's to just move on. Plus maybe it's a quid pro quo, we'll stop trying to get you investigated if you do the same thing for us. Also it could save a few bob in QC's fees.

Or as you imply, maybe they're genuinely worried about losing - the one thing that's certain about court, is that there's nothing certain in court.

Surely because it ties up people's time, plus legal costs etc. Th Cov City Council people on ACL have jobs in their own right re: Council work. Can you imagine what a pain in the *rse it must be trying to conduct all of this whilst trying to deal with ££££S in Council cuts at the same time? I think that is one of the things that SISU hoped, is that by tying up their time, they'd down tools and say enough is enough.

clearly everyone needs to move forward. if a deal can be agreed it's pointless proceeding with the JR, it's just another costly distraction and will lead to more falling out. just draw a line under the whole thing, get new people at the table on both sides and move forward.

i would much rather see money being spent on the club than keep paying lawyers, administrators and the like.

Either that or it's an attempt to stop paying the lawyers dealing with the JR. Didn't Young Timothy say it was 100k at one of the forums? ACL might drop the NTFC case in response.

Our SISU Sky blues friend 'true sky blue' claims that all loans from councils to businesses they part own are illegal. So that sort of screws Swansea and the Liberty stadium loan from their council, especially as at least one loan was written off.

I think as I said before we should have a full investigation of the whole lot of them, ACL, CCFC and SISU. If that means going back to the days of Richardson then let's go back there, leave no stone unturned.

Spot on....I think the outcome of that would be longer than the Leveson report! It would certainly show up a hell of a lot of info that I'm sure none of us are aware of and would raise more questions of all parties.

We might see who opposes the investigation and who welcomes it - that would be interesting even before we start. Then I'd love to know what went on last week, and what was actually offered by each side. Is Leveson doing anything at the moment?
