I'm not on either side, but it does seem that ACL have only gone for the admin option as a last resort.

Be better if both sides stopped throwing around accusations and saying stuff that will only cause bad blood and just concentrate on sorting this mess out.

Unfortunately SISU will delay like buggers and will try and get any investors on board with them.

Good. Maybe we can get into the play-offs then without any penalty.

How dare they delay when we're 3 points off the play-offs. Scum. Sub-human scum

SENIOR staff at Coventry City are understood to have been told by club chiefs that owners Sisu have plans in place to avoid being forced into administration tomorrow.

Sources close to the football club have revealed that chief executive Tim Fisher held a conference call with management at Ryton and the club’s Academy earlier this week to allay fears surrounding the immediate future of the Sky Blues.

The Telegraph understands that Mr Fisher branded Ricoh Arena bosses Arena Coventry Ltd’s move to bring the club to court for in excess of £1.3million in unpaid rent as “bullying” tactics – and dismissed speculation of any wealthy Americans waiting in the wings with a takeover bid.

It is understood staff were told that Sisu boss Joy Seppala is working on a plan to avoid a judge deciding that the club is insolvent and placing it in administration, one of the effects of which would be an immediate ten point deduction by the Football League that would scupper City’s chances of making the play-offs and the possibility of promotion.

One possible tactic for the Sisu lawyers would be to challenge to the original lease agreement and argue that it is illegal.

Even though that agreement was signed five years ago, a judge might grant an adjournment of the case which would give the club more time.

Another scenario would see Sisu pay some or all of the rent arrears at the last minute and re-open negotiations with ACL.

I haven't a clue of the outcome and am powerless to stop it !!!

I want my cake and I want to eat all of it!!!

I want the court to rule that the rent is unreasonable and a monopoly on matchday receipts is unreasonable, and I want ACL to pay all costs to leave court with a lot of egg on it's face!

I also want SISU out out out and a new owner in who loves football.

I do not want a points reduction this season at any cost!!

If I can I'll be there tomorrow if only to see some of these profiteers in the flesh...and hear their inevitable spin.

Could be an exciting day however you look at it!!

Although could they simply transfer in 5 million in cash, say to the court look, money is there.... Then transfer it straight out again?

Or - just a provoking thought - as the final offer is just pennies away from the clubs initial request, ACL could have accepted at the first meeting.
Then there wouldn't be arrears to fight in court.

I wonder if it is a cunning plan? One that is as cunning as a fox that used to be Professor of Cunning at Oxford University but has moved on and is now working for the UN at the High Commission of International Cunning Planning?

Tomorrow isn't about rent or depositing money from a secret account.

It's about Coventry being a sustainable business.

So presumably you show you have the funds to sustain the business! But you're not prepared to part with them as long as the demands remain unreasonable...let the judge decide!

I do like how quickly people refer to all this as bullying, as if it can only be adequately explained by reverting to playground metaphor. ACL want to get ice cream for their lunch but SISU don't think they should have ice cream so they aren't giving them the lunch money and then ACL got their dad involved so SISU are going to go get a teacher and cry

What part of the demands are unreasonable? Nobody forced the club to go on a contract breaking bender for a year.

Best scenario right now at this present time is for either Sisu to pay the rent or part of it to prevent the court case, or for the court case to go ahead and then be deferred to a later date.

This is surely the best thing for CCFC right now.

Had we not been just 3 points behind the play-off positions and quite a few points short, then it might be quite different.

Find it baffling that people would wish a 10 point deduction now at this stage of the season with a chance of promotion still on.

Just wonder how people are going to feel come 5 p.m. Saturday night if we sit proudly in the top 6, knowing that 10 points are going to come off to propel us into midtable?

I understand where you are coming from, but is delaying the inevitable really the best outcome tomorrow ? On the balance of probabilities the likely sequence of events will be:

1. Hearing adjourned until after the end of the season
2. Play offs just missed by a couple of points
3. Admin finally entered in close season
4. Enter new season with weakened squad due to restrictions on bring players in
5. 10 point deduction pending ala Porstmouth
6. SISU resist attempts to agree a CVA
7. Admin exited without CVA (not sure who will buy club), further 15 points deducted or worst case scenario liquidation
8. Relegated to league 2 / relagated 2 dicvisions or more due to liquidation

You only need to look at Portsmouth to see how things can drag on.

Not saying I don't want Sisu gone and new owners. Just saying we are 3 points outside the play-offs and can be in the play-offs come Saturday night.

Just how galling will that feel if we know 10 points are to come off our total?
