Chief Executive hopes to 'accelerate the process' as the Sky Blues search for their next first-team manager...
Coventry City Football Club can confirm the process to find a new first-team manager has begun.
Chief Executive Steve Waggott received over 80 applications and has formed a confidential list from the applicants, all of which have been notified.
Waggott said: "We've been delighted with the number and high-quality of all the applicants we've received since the process began.
"As we've got a mini-season coming up, where we play six games in three weeks, I believe it is important to accelerate the process but crucially, without taking any short-cuts on what is always the most important appointment in a football club."
The club will communicate, where possible, with the supporters throughout the ongoing process of finding a new first-team manager.
