How can they confirm anything when they don't know where the academy will be?

It's based at Ryton now apparently.

This is about as good as news gets for us nowadays. Rioch and his team deserve credit for doing a good job in difficult circumstances.

I'm sure the paperwork SISU sent them had full details about them being kicked out of the Higgs

Well the club have to put £500K in to match the FA grant, I hope that is being audited properly as it will be a huge percentage of the club's reduced turnover.

Yes and PL have give them 3 months to find another base which meets the criteria at the moment the are training at the king Henry playing fields until August !!!,, there is no where else in cov which meets cat 2 status , therefore the academy will fold interesting ccfc (sisu)web site refused to publish the fact we achieved cat 2 on there website

Sadly I can see Gregor Rioch leaving before the end of the season, no sense in him screwing his career.

But they have - from today's offal: http://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/article/academy-get-category-2-906441.aspx

Looks like they've set up classrooms at Ryton - surely dplzll is correct about having to meet PL academy criteria - can't see Ryton meeting Category 2 status.

More spin??

Isn't all the "Sisu plant" and "You're Tim Fisher" stuff getting just a little tired now?

Excellent news that we've got CAT 2 again, hope it isn't reliant on us staying at the Higgs Centre or that'll go and that would be a disaster given the other things going on.

It will be a theoretical £500k paid from SISU to Otium but then refunded.

Surely it's bad news as Cat 2 status - now - can't continue in Coventry?!? If getting such was 'good news', surely the inevitability of losing it is 'bad'? No?
