We bring in a combatative midfield general and I think we could go on to have a very good season.

Can SP not tie up the loan signings we have for the season? That would be a start, or else come January we're in a pickle if Nouble goes!

Has jordan clarke progressed much if at all , feel as though he is worse now than he was in the championship, but i do like the lad , we will see if this is a good move

Wonder if this is a loan ahead of a permanent swap in January.

Are we competing for play offs? We're still in a relegation battle. Absolutely no chance of autos.

He's gone backwards. During our relegation season he was one of the better players during the second half of the season.

Hmmm not sure about this one, i agree with Otis in respect to this is hardly improving our position much and leaving us equally as short at the back (albeit in different positions). I suppose the question is that why are Yeovil eager to get rid of him given their league position?

Wonder if we may be after an experienced goalkeeper or back after Diagouraga.

It does make you wonder what's in it for Yeovil? Have we paid them on top of letting Clarke go?

Its 5 years since Jordan was sent off against derby when Chris Coleman was the manager. In those 5 years has he improved. Being honest he is never good enough to be centre half - just not physical enough - if its a high ball into the box would you want Clarke or Martin challenging for it, not a wing back and ok as a right back but poor going forward. His error for Bristol's third was probably his last act for the club, his errors tended to be costly a career that showed promise but has failed to deliver. 23 in a few weeks with nearly 150 games, not a kid anymore. Get the feeling the manager has decided to act quick following persistent bad defensive performances, think Webster's days are numbered also.

That was my first thought as well. Isn't he at Brentford? Not sure how much he's been involved.

The next position has to be an experienced keeper

Yes they have enquired about him a few times.

Personally I think Clarke's been going backwards for a while at CCFC. I don't think it's worth blaming either the player or the manager for it, perhaps it's just the combination of the two that's not working.

I hope, like Christie at Derby, he returns to some decent form at Yeovil and it all works out for him. Why wouldn't anyone want a Cov kid to do well, regardless of where he plays.

As for Martin, I don't really remember him being either outstandingly good or bad. That's not always a bad thing in a centre-back, imho. There's something to be said for unfussy, understated performances in the heart of the defence - as long as the opposition aren't scoring I'm happy.

I must admit I would like to see another Goalkeeper and a combative Midfielder come in, I would be very happy with that incoming business.

I think SP needs to start looking at tying down the likes of Nouble, McQuoid and a few others..

I'd tie McQuoid up on Bournemouth beach. He's crap.

Tudgay so far has been a disaster. Not shown anything at all.

Not going to blame SP here though. You take a gamble, sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. Tudgay had a good pedigree but to me he looks shot. Well past his sell by date.

Maybe he will come good and surprise us all, but he just seems so slow and ponderous.

Yep, might be a good call. If he does have anything left in him he's hardly going to find form when he's not even on the bench is he!

I didn't put this in my original comments on Clarke but I've always thought him arrogant, not sure why but I've never particularly liked him.

If I had one word to sum up Clarke it would be lucky as I have no idea how he has made it as a pro and then had various contracts, he would be out of his depth in a puddle.

What on earth is happening to this club , now in the dressing room . I would love to be a fly on pressleys wall ! Last year Clarke was touted as a future captain of coventry by Pressley ???? Barton hasn't played in Pressley team since I think last February Nd is now getting his game ??? Pressley is most defo a split personality !

Surely, it's good to have a manager who changes his mind and can adapt. Clarke was in the Bomb Squad, did well and was taken back into the fold. Barton was told he was surplus to requirement, did well, and has been taken back into the fold. Similarly if SP doesn't think a player fits then he'll be out. We all thought he would stick with Allsop but again he put Burge in. Better to have a manager that does that rather than sticking with players no matter what as managers have done in the past.
