There’s been rumours around that a certain Mr Richardson has joined your consortium. If that’s true wise up and make sure CCFC stay at the Ricoh. SISU arrived with a fanfare as saviours of the club and look where that’s got them. If this rumour is true and if you ever do take over the club your consortium will be arriving as the people who forced the club out of the city. Think on.

Hoff has been seen at the Ricoh with Ranson as well hasn't he. Christ imagine if our supposed saviours are Hoff, Ranson and Richardson!

Why did Gilbert ignore me when I asked him about this rumour? Why did it seem to be allowed to slip under the radar without so much as a tweet from places like the telegraph?

I would accept a deal with Wasps.

But only if it is part of a plot to destroy them from within.

Possibly but the point is when SISU arrived I was unsure of them. About two seasons in I really didn’t like them and would have been happy to see the back of them but it wasn’t at the front of my thought process. When they took us out the city when it was clear that it was within their gift to make sure we stayed at the Ricoh it became personal and they have to go and I’m still at that place. They’re unfit custodians of the club and I’ll never change my opinion on that.

If Hoffman’s consortium takes over and it was always within the gift of one of its members to ensure that CCFC remains at the Ricoh then they’ll be arriving at the point where I concluded that SISU have to go and therefore are unfit custodians of the club as SISU’s equal and being the stubborn football supporter I am I’ll never change my opinion on that. They’ll always be the owners that forced us out of Coventry. Same as SISU.

Is there room in Hoffman's consortium for anyone else, given that it already includes the likes of financial heavyweight Dale Evans???

Just thought I’d bump this up given what Joy Sepalla has had to say today. She seems to be confirming (whatever that’s worth) that Richardson is involved in the consortium as per the rumours I think most of us have heard over a number of weeks/months.

So, Mr Richardson. Are you really planning on starting your tenure as custodian of the city of Coventry’s football club as someone who evicted the city of Coventry’s football club from the city of Coventry. Very ill advised if you are.

You would never actually know as Hoffman will respect any consortium members request for anonymity and Richardson is similar to Seppella in his lack of media engagement

I guess that might depend on what roll he eventually takes up should they ever take over. For instance he’s listed on companies house as a director of Wasps Holdings. If as Sepalla has suggested it’s to maximise revenue at the Ricoh then surely the club would have to be linked in some way legally to the Ricoh. Surely that leaves a paper trail that confirms it.

He will never be on the board

The benefit for wasps holdings will be a long term rental deal which yields close to £1 million a year

We need a completely fresh start. Any new owner should have nothing to do with our past, no sisu, council or London Wasps connections. Fuck the lot of them out of our club. More than 20 years of interfering, we're sick of it.

If there’s any truth in it I can only assume that it’s hoped that it looks like SISU has taken the club away having had tantrum and he’s a hero for “bringing” us back. The fan base clearly aren’t buying that. They’ve got the keys, they won’t talk, they’ve locked us out. Last time was completely different. SISU didn’t have the keys, SISU wouldn’t talk, SISU had to be forced to talk before we could come back. It’s the talking bit that counts and on that point there’s been a juxtaposed of position and therefore a juxtaposed of blame. Or at least the majority of blame as clearly no one is covered in glory here and never have been.

Or if they are involved it's to bring the asking price down or to try and force a sale?

People went mad at the thought of ACL being distressed but don't seem too bothered if it's CCFC. Maybe it is because there is no expensive PR company adding to it

This is not the view of the Trust and The Jimmy Hill Way and they are the organisations that get media coverage and communicate a far more positive message regarding Wasps

They are very vocal about ACL being distressed but not a word if it's the club. I wonder why.

This is the problem - there seems no mechanism to actually withdraw as a member as it’s a one of enrolment fee - a mass exodus with public awareness of that happening and why would be a start but it’s never going to happen

That or a way of getting policy ideas approved by all members via online balloting (Eg media statement telling all of Coventry to boycott wasps) and that’s never going to happen as that ruins the cosy club

If any takeover was to go through with backing of wasps ( inderectly the council) I think I'd give up on football. After the shit we've been put through by those bastards for so long I couldn't face going any more.

Gilbert acting like this is some massive revelation being made by Sepalla today when the likes of the CT and CWR have completely failed to look into it when prompted numerous times.

Hoffman refusing to deny it is as good as a confirmation for me. Anyone who had any intention of ever being involved with the club in the future should be able to laugh that off as a ridiculous suggestion.

What sensible businessmen turns away 300K customers a year and their associated spend. Not to mention rent from the football club and the additional value to naming rights.

Even if their business was thriving they'd be mad to do that.

I’d be delighted to see a Gary Hoffman led consortium. A proven top class businessman, deep understanding of finances, life long City fan who attends home and away.

I don’t blame Hoffman for the breakdown in relations with Sisu, after all Sepalla has fallen out with the Council,Wasps, local media, various non Exec directors at the club.

Of course I would love to be on the end of a UAE style takeover with a mass of finances to invest in the club, but failing that I’d settle for Hoffman.

Do you think Wasps being involved with Hoffman would have any bearing on a SISU owned CCFC being able to play at the Ricoh or is that irrelevant? Much the same as last time Wasps kept to and froing with talks when Hoffman was about?

How did Haskell work out?

If they’re going to fuck around using CCFC as a football messing with fans emotions to do it then they’re no better than SISU and can equally fuck off.

Whoever our next owners are they need to prove that they’re better than the last. It’s not a tall ask given how low the bar is set and evicting the club in a game of cat and mouse isn’t the right foot to start of on.
