Could be wrong but didn't Dyche have no money to spend and a fairly average squad of players? Think he did very well getting them to 11th, they weren't far off the playoffs in the end and had a very good spell of form in the 2nd half of the season. Would still be in a job there if they hadn't been taken over.

Still very highly thought of at Watford, which would make a change from our usual choice of manager. Would definitely prefer him to Blackwell, Southgate etc etc.

Wise was poor at Leeds in League 1, with Poyet there they did well, but as soon as he left they collapsed. Seems too volatile to me, wouldn't like him to be in charge. I'd like us to appoint a lesser known candidate, young manager who can demonstrate genuine tactical awareness and has a great knowledge of the game.

We need someone the players are in awe of

I know that quite a few of last seasons squad had no respect for thorn due to crap tactics etc

Being in awe of someone doesnt make them a good manager ,Keane ,Brian Robson and others

Players need a manager they trust and one who gets them playing

Well I think we're going to have to gamble to a certain extent, we won't be able to attract many big names. I'd be looking for someone in the Eddie Howe mould.

Thought it was a different thread mate

Thought i was using my amazing knowledge as an example of someone who goes straight from being a player into the manager role

Correct!! We need someone who can get the best out of what he has to work with, I don't think the new man will have much cash, if any to add to the squad, other than a couple that money may have already been available to thorn for a striker

It will probably be Kevin Wilkin! Links with the Boro! Double promotions and all that!
