I've grew up in cov, and over the years have loved the banter with friends and family, whether its win lose or draw its always fun to play cov! The marlon king saga is a shocker he has treated the club like dirt and BCFC dnt realise come january he will jump ship to the prem if a bigger club comes in again, cov are better off without him! Deakin88.wordpress.com is a link to my journalism work, some stuff on cov and midlands football etc enjoy or slate me!

So you don't welcome him to BCFC then? Even if he gets 20+ goals?

I certainly don't welcome him, ill never sing his name, but after 20+ goals I may be fickle enough to change my mind!

I think that's the way it has gone here, even naming him player of the season. Just don't fall into thinking that he is loyal.

We've had many debates on grammar here, mostly unwarranted, but as an outsider I think you're fair game!

"I've grew up in cov"

A journalist who has such a weak grasp of the language? Who would have thought?

Rob Rob Rob, down boy.

Bluenose I apologise, my Sky Blues Loving pal has forgotten that he has been retired from the Grammar Police. He can't let go and likes to continue his old job in his retirement, call it force of habit.

Note he was retired, he didn't choose to retire.

he didn't mean to.

hahah my wording whilst on forums is always brief.... And in my blogs it does need to be improved, I see it as advice the BCFC forums slate me but at same time enjoy reading them, all feedback is good feedback!

Oh and when he scores his first goal and shows you a shirt saying "4 U" just remember it means absolutely nothing.

I grew up in Coventry, moved to Solihull when I was 11, taking in Moseley,Olton, Hall Green and Shirley en route to where I reside now, Marston Green. I am still Sky Blue through and through despite living over half my life in around Birmingham.I have friends who are Bluenoses and I used to go to a few of their games when Cov were away (mainly for the piss up as I always had to drive to Cov). Those games I went to were when Blues were a joke, gates of 4000 I recall on a Tuesday night, still I had an affection fo them, because of friends.
We as a club helped them out,too much, buying the likes of Liam Daish for £1m and Gary Breen for £2.5mand letting them have Ndlovu for a box of weetabix cos they had no cash.
Then, when the boot is on the other foot, they don't return the favour, no longer are they fun, their ground is so quiet AND despite what they say, they are NOT a bigger club. They could not fill their ground in the Premiership. Last time in the Championship their attendances were not much bigger than ours & they were top, whilst we were suffering another season of nothingness. I work with Bluenoeses, none of them go. My missus' brother is a Blues fan and he stopped going because it was no longer any fun and the football was awful.
Not sure what my point is,but it does my head in when they think they are Barcelona when they are no bigger than Gillingham. Rant over.
