http://www.coventrycity-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/pkh_wants_ccfc_holdings_to_come_clean_over_academy_792186/index.shtml?

WTF is PKH playing around at?
He's effectively turfed out the accademy by demanding payment for "maintenance" on a couple of lawn mowers of £12000 on top of rent for the additional use of £2000.
This is exceptional, unjustified and darn right provocative!
He is now asking for a response from CCFC when ACL have said earlier they will only deal with the Administrator!
How on earth can that be viewed as reasonable.
Its not like "Trashing a hotel" at all... Have they maliciously damaged the machines? I very much doubt it!
Normal maintenance would surely be included in the rent, YES THEY PAY RENT!

The £12,000 quotation is one that CCFC obtained from Farol Ltd for the maintenance and repair of the equipment owned by but used and maintained by CCFC. 50% of the equipment is u/s at present. The work should have been done by CCFC and hasn't been. The Trustees are quite happy to have a dialogue with CCFC if it will result in getting the Academy back into the Centre with everybody meeting their obligations. The maintenance of machinery is not included in any of the charges made for CCFC's use of the Centre rental or otherwise.
This has nothing to do with ACL.

Has this situation previously risen, if so how was it dealt with before?

Was Gregor Rioch correct in stating an invoice had not been sent to the club, if so is that how the matter has been previously been dealt with?

Is the maintenance of equipment done on a as required basis, or is it done during down times such as the end of the season?

Has the Academy met all other financial obligation this year, if so, is it not an over the top reaction to lock them out because of a faulty lawnmower?

Does the current state of the equipment cause difficulties in running the building / providing services to other customers?

Unfortunately PWKH by his own (allegedley) schoolboyesque actions has now dented his previously unquestioned integrity and caused doubt to arise where perhaps there wasn't any before. I'm afraid I've lost all confidence that any of the parties involved have the diplomacy and desire to resolve the considerable issues the club faces. I hope I'm proven wrong, but I'm not holding my breath !

I believe from what has been posted the academy has now moved to Warwick University so I presume any charge which has not been settled against CCFC Ltd will now have to be sent to the administrator and thrown in the pile... it could well be that the higgs centre has now lost its opportunity to recover these costs as CCFC H did seem willing to pay this just a week or so ago but were obviously unable to meet the other stipulations put in place. I am certainly not rejoicing that the centre has probably lost out on this money but I imagine the bigger ouch is the rent which moving forward will now go in to someone elses pocket.

I think you omitted saying who owed the machinery in your last post, you just say "owned by....."
I assume it is owned by the Higgs Trust.
The accademy pay RENT for using the centre - are they expected to maintain the center, paint the walls, mend the roof?
the RENT extends to use of the pitches.... why should they be expected to maintain the pitches? If they pay rent for it I think they should expect the grass to be cut for them! if it is not cut how could they use it?
If you own something you have full responsibility for it. If you RENT something you expect it to be fit for purpose!
Looks to me like you should have the responsibility for cutting the grass to provide a suitably playing field that they RENT and they only use the mowers if it hasn't been done! ...
Maybe they should send you a bill for cutting the grass when it was needed! - £24,000!
Gyre and gimble some more, I'm not convinced.

Facts are important and I have to assume that you are not familiar with the suite of Agreements between AHCT and CCFC. In short and in reply to your guesswork and assumption: CCFC are NOT required to pay rent to use the four training pitches and one match pitch at the Centre. They are required to maintain the pitches to a proper standard at their expense and to maintain and service the equipment owned by the Trustees that they use to maintain the pitches. The capital cost of that equipment was £100,000: not just a couple of mowers as has been suggested. I expect that you are also labouring under another misconception that the Alan Edward Higgs Charity and the Alan Higgs Centre Trust are either one and the same or at least connected: they are not. There is also no connection between ACL and the Higgs Centre.

That's a serious allegation, do you have any evidence that PWKH has made money out of CCFC. Or did you mean the AEH Charity which I don't think has made any money out of CCFC as they don't get any dividends from ACL. Or did you mean ACL which probably has being the leaseholders of the Ricoh?

Tied some balloons to a baffoons car - shows that he's got a sense of humour shoot him
Runs a charity that was set up with the pure aim to help improve the lives of people from Coventry - I'd take That as no hidden agenda
Turning the screw on a faceless entity that has as much transparency as a breeze block - won't be bullied
Over the past weeks and months Ive been turned into a schitzo should I support the club / the council / Higgs acl and like many of you I suppose you don't know who has the best intentions at heart but the only way I can judge it is by who gives us the straightest answers and it ain't sissu

OKay, perhaps it was a rather glib sentiment to suggest it was a faulty lawnmower, however I would suggest that is in part due to the impression the fans of the club have of the situation, can you answer the other questions I have raised?

I have to thank you for your response PK at least you tell us something, even if it doesn't quite add up
Yes you are right that I am not familiar with the "Suite of agreements" between AHCT and the CCFC (academy) but I am surprised that it needs a "suite of agreements" just to rent a sports facility, I would have expected that just one rental agreement would do!
I'm sorry that we have to cling on to the little snippets of information that you give us, it is generally all we get!
But lets face it, you only give the facts you want to.
Haven't you taken full advantage of the fact that some maintenance was due on some equipment just to be awkward and keep the Academy out of the Center?
Isn't it a fact that it was really maintenance that has been needed over a long period of time and is probably due to use by others as well as the Academy?
Isn't it a fact that this could have been easily been sorted out with CCFCH?
but isn't it a fact that you refused to speak to them?
I appreciate you telling us its £100,000 of equipment not just a couple of mowers.
For the avoidance of doubt can you please state exactly what the equipment is?
and what the normal provision for maintenance is?
I wasn't really labouring under any conceptions at all with regard to AEHC and AHCT but since you mention it, what difference would it make if they were connected?
and anyway are they not connected by virtue of you being involved with them both?

He would prefer if you attacked the charity.

Hammered PWKH for his ill thought prank and take the mick out of Hoffman's attempts to find someone to save our club.

If you don't think like that

You are in for some serious ridicule.
