We tend to push Bidwell up the pitch quite a lot and almost play a back four at times, wonder if this will mean the opposite

So in that formation who wears what number?

If you have the WB's taking the 7 and 11 of wingers, who are the 2 and 3?

CB 2,3,4
WB 7, 11
DCM 5,6
AM 8, 10
ST 9

Personally I'd prefer
CB 4, 5, 6
WB 2, 3
CM 7, 8
ACM 10, 11
ST 9

Not that it matters these days.

Defensive mid wearing 7??

Doesn’t really work outside of 442 but my best go:

1
2 5 3
7 6 4 11
8 10
9

If he was playing regularly for Rotherham I presume his loan wasn't curtailed for him to come and sit on our bench. Could be the beginning of the end for Dabo?

I mean that’s exactly what we did to Shrewsbury with Ryan Giles…

Dabo is knackered and been playing injured for a couple of seasons. Maybe 2nd choice will do him good.

Will Kane still be here til the summer?

Against Swansea when we were 3-0 up the formation we went to something like

1
7
1

(O'hare and Allen not counted as they went missing). The latter was also captain as well - should have banged that on the captain thread!

Yeah when we go 7 at the back is when we get fucked. Needs a Fadz telling the DMs to fuck off from the edge of the area and the WBs to push up.

I could come round to this, but the wingbacks would need reclassifying offically as midfielders though. They're still listed as defenders everywhere

I’ve only seen him play once at Nuneaton and he was terrible and had a terrible attitude when he got subbed.

Probably more than a few weeks with persistent hamstring issues etc. If his fitness doesn't improve by the summer though, may be wise to say adios.

Yeah you can only think it's a loan with a view to a permanent. I like Dabo but he's out injured too often, he's lost a bit of explosiveness or maybe it's just confidence now too. That said it doesn't necessarily mean he's going.

Like the look of him. We badly need a wing back who can attack.

SBChimp did say the club see Burroughs as a LWB going forward. Surely means Dabo and BNC at RWB, Bidwell and Burroughs at LWB and bye bye Toddy Kane.

Well Kane's surely gone now, isn't he?

Appreciate this is the market we're in, but we're not exactly going for experience to help out Doyle and Panzo with this signing. Hopefully future ones do that instead...

Arsenal fans see this guy as their future RB and I know at Lincoln last season he was labelled as 'premier league class' and he was only 17 then.

For arsenal it makes sense, he's had 20 games at Rotherham who now are going backwards and we play attractive football and its a chance for him to join a team on the up and show what he's got.

He's certainly an exciting talent

Hopefully this means more much needed pace and attacking threat from the wing backs.

Seems like Arsenal recalled him when he was left out for a couple of games, the Rotherham fans don't really seem too sure why

He's not likely to be here as backup, they'll be expecting him to start regularly

Given we can't keep Dabo fit, and Kane seems to have forgotten how to play football, that probably won't be a problem!

We could at some point have a VERY young back 5!!...
Norton-Cuffy, Doyle (did they play in same England side??), Panzo and Burroughs could all conceivably at some point be in the same side!!

Or Burroughs to go out on loan for some regular football for half a season, and push for proper first team next season?

Think we’ll keep hold of him, he’s been starting for us and can do a job in numerous positions

id hope Kane leaves as a priority

Being as over last summer he couldn’t even give Kane away for free I’d guess he will be seeing his contract out

I look forward to him getting 12 minutes, doing a cross, then spending the rest of next season on loan here as well.

Whys everyone assuming Kanes going?

I think hes shit now but Dabo could actually attract someone in L1 to part with a tiny bit of cash for him, and if we're planning on not renewing him we may aswell let him go for a small fee. Kane i dont think anyone would part with cash for
