There is a finance report in the AGM 2012 minutes online. They donated £800+ to the Jimmy Hill statue for a start.

I'm not old enough to appreciate what jh did for us, but is not akin to what nigel adkins did at southampton? If pressley got us to the pl wiuld we build him a statue too? Not being argumentative for the sake of it, but it was a lot of money to put something outside a stadium that we don't even own. If I was a member (and yes its only a quid at mo) I wouldn't be too enamoured if my representatives deemed it a good idea to spend such a % of the fighting fund on a whim like that. What protection is in place to ensure that if we put more in (as was suggested yesterday) that it wouldn't be squandered?

It wasn't representatives who made the decision, it was democratically voted on by all members.

Why should I tell you?
Something else to take the piss out of?
Trust me, I played to a good standard of football for 7 years.

Unfortunately confirms again that the majority line is not in tune with mine which is disappointing. Not wrong, just different. I think I would currently be a hypocrite to stand with them despite that we ultimately want the same things.

Not surprisingly, I don't agree with that. People who don't contribute financially to something have no right to an opinion, is that what you're saying? If so, does that mean the fact that you do not attend home games negate your right to an opinion regarding those matches?

he didnt say they shouldn't have an opinion on it.. he said it was none of his business.

Join the trust, pay your quid & then it is your business. otherwise you are just the old busy body down the road that wants to gossip about what other people do with their time & money.. they can do that but, in the end they will get told its none of their business.

Not strictly true that its none of your business if you're not a member, if their intention is to affect something that you care about like ccfc (and if we pretend they don't wish to affect it, then what is the point of them?)

Believe me, I wouldn't take the piss. It's something we all want to do for a living. I only played Sunday football as I was never good enough, my enthusiasm made up for my lack of talent. You obviously were, so nice one.

yep, i agree, but he wasnt talking about the trust in relation to CCFC though.. they were specifically talking about the statue & the funds being spent on that in the past

My football career apart from C+D Sunday premier league. was Semi-Pro at Coventry Sporting Club, Montrose, Ayr Utd, and a brief spell at Raith Rovers, before my knees started playing up. I then moved to S. Wales. played a season Ice Hockey with Cardiff, then my knees packed in to an extent that I had to give it up. Did the course(Ice Hockey) for running the "Line" and "Reffed" for about a season

I think you're living prove that footballers are generally 'not bright'. Without being disrespectful...

Cool. Raith Rovers were "my" Scottish team and I've been to Starks' park many times, plus Ayr United on a few occasions.

Nearly an hour without reply. Tut, Tut! Seems to me that an 18 year old "Dickhead" trying to be clever, makes an "EPIC FAIL"
Don't forget this pal. Your English, in general is poor to say the least. Your Grammar is abysmal, spelling atrocious, and you try to take the piss out of my intelligence, Do me, and yourself a favour...Do One!:laugh::laugh:

PS. I never pick people up on their English. Usually most of us on here overlook spelling, and grammatical mistakes, but you're the exception.
Without being disrespectful, of course.
