This pre-season has already turned in to a slanging match between all parties and sadly now the fans.

We are all supporters of Coventry City Football Club, but fans are now taking digs at each other, taking different sides be it wasps, council or Sisu...

I really thought last season we finally we're talking about footy, top if the league, great academy etc.

Now loads of fans are feeling deflated and angry again.

It's just a sad state of affairs that our club...a club that would be nothing without its fans is being treated like utter shit by all parties and now the infighting between fans.

The fans have been taking digs at each other from the first day I visited this forum. I hope that some fans will now see who the enemy really is (regardless of our shitty owners) and we can unite against them.

Sadly I struggle to see the point to this. Sadly Afc been this way for the last 5 years. This is nothing new and I suspect for at least another 2 years.

We will only talk football if we are winning and top of the league. Unfortunately in the off season all we get is bad news and that's that.

Need to keep positive somehow. Not sure how. Even optimistic posters on here seem to think the end is near. Wow it's bad

Its not a fight it needs to be negotiated.
CA statement has some positives in it and ideally Wasps now need to pause and CCC, CSF, Wasps and Sisu come up with the Higgs solution.

You know, for the first time in this whole debacle I'm on the verge of just shrugging my shoulders. Politics aside for a moment, modern football is shit. It's over-saturated; on TV every day, on every other website and all over the newspapers - front and back page. Yet the everyday fan is being priced out of it, the players they adore just seem to chase the cash, the clubs themselves are either awash with money or penniless. It's just...souless. Yet still, somehow, I carry on loving it, despite not wanting to. Yet how can you love something like CCFC? It's the equivalent of a woman who takes all your cash and the best years of your life, and all you get in return is grey hair and an STD and you just wish you could pluck up the courage to leave her. Well, you know what? My suitcase is packed and by the front door.

Looks like sisu haggling down the rent on ricoh and trying to bankrupt acl has really pissed off d council and they now have the chance to make life as difficult as possible for the club. They have sisu exactly where they want them now powerless

For me it's not about taking Wasps side. All that people are doing when they constantly discuss Wasps is scapegoating.

This shows that those people believe they already understand the whole situation and have all the necessary data: Wasps are bad, Force Wasps out, Things get better for CCFC.

That may well be the case. However, there may be many other possible problems and ignoring other ideas and being closed to them does nothing for helping to find the solution.

Being open to different ideas and being pro Coventry Coty, rather than being anti one particular faction would be much more constructive at this point.

I still respect those people that are passionate about Covwntry, however it gets very tiresome to see them simply harp on about Wasps as it's not productive to the cause.

Let's not forget, the cause isn't forcing Wasps out. The cause is having a football club that is sustainable (I did want to say successful but I'm not that optimistic or delusional ! )

Sorry I disagree, the real enemy are the shitty owners, they started the whole sorry mess and they alone can get us out of it by dropping the legals.

Reducing the huge rent was one of the best things sisu could have done for the club

But they did it in the worse way possible.

The best thing they could have done was to negotiate the Higgs share back. If they had our home and academy would be safe and most of us would hardly have a clue about who Wasps are.

I think you will find that our downfall started many years before SISU arrived. We haven't had anyone decent run our club for a long time now.

Possibly not. I'm coming to the conclusion that Coventry's premier football club may not be CCFC in 10 years time. It may just be say Coventry United. I know nothing about Coventry United but as CCFC and its loyal but dwindling supporter base continue to be used as bait in SISU's continuing legal game playing, could Coventry United gain further momentum and in say 5 years time be playing only a couple if divisions below CCFC? A football club focussed on football playing in the National League, maybe at the Ricoh, I'd say people would find that attractive.

our club is like a hostage in a kidnap situation.
Although we all hate the kidnapper some of us don't want to go in all guns blazing in case the hostage gets hurt but there seems to be a fair amount so blinded by their hatred for the kidnapper that they prepared to go in gung ho and not give a fuck about the casualties.

True they didn't go about it in an ideal way by what we have seen from other parties in this saga is that can behave just as badly, if not worse.

All sides have lied to us, the fans.

I am normally positive about most things ccfc related, we had a really productive season last season where all fans were being very optimistic for once which was great. The city felt different when we were top of the league but it was papering over the real cracks in the club.

The damage already done in my view is irreparable, if SISU are the 'enemy' then I cannot see why they would move on and who would take us over unless this is brought by people who truly love this club, the fans. I fear we will need to go down a similar route to Portsmouth and virtually implode before we can take control.

Back to the present, is the legal proceedings the ONLY route we have if the clubs solicitors feel we have a real case? We cannot take control of the ground, academy or anything in its present situation so do we need to right a wrong (if this truly exists?)

All of the parties in this farce have behaved badly and the only ones to rally suffer are us fans, must be strange being a fan of another team who have a real close season and just talk about potential signings not court cases and ground/ training ground issues.
