A good point .
Rushworth a lot better .
Thomas still struggles with passing .
Torp…. More consistency please.
Rudoni , trying to do too much in his own .
Asante , a passenger today .

Asante put in a huge shift in his own half today. He was asked to do so by FL to help Dasilva vs Fatawu

Harsh on Asante who was played out of position and asked to help stop one of the best wingers in the division.
With no EMC playing Fatawu was freed from any defensive duty and given the chance to cause mayhem, which he did at times.

With EMC playing we could of pushed Fatawu back and had more possession down our left side.

BTA put in a shift, but you could see he struggled at times to get involved, especially when Leicester looked to play balls into space for Fatawu to chase, that's where BTA was caught out of position a few times which left JDS exposed.

Yeah, granted. Assante wasn't great in an attacking sense, but I think it's harsh to say he was a passenger overall based purely off the amount of work he put in at the back.

Considering one of the big criticisms of Wright when he plays out left is that he doesn't help the full back out when needed, seems a bit harsh to me to overlook how much of a shift BTA put in helping Dasilva out.

Agreed a huge amount of tackling back today, I thought the whole team did. I'm pretty sure I even saw Wright tackle someone... In our half.

I am not a fan of Asante at all but he came sprinting back yesterday to help out at the back, I doubt very much EMC would have done that and it was pleasing to see Wright helping albeit a small amount, the disappointing thing for me is Torps apparent lack of fitness and not being able to last a full game yet again, that gives Grimes no help and it leaves us with a serious lack of quality because Allen looked once again like the andrex puppy, credit to Freckles who had a decent cameo

Asante was poor up front.

Helping out the defense though, was different matter entirely.

He worked tirelessly to help support JDS and without him, I think we would have surely lost the match.

"A passenger" alludes to someone not even involved in the game, yet he was very heavily involved and crucial to our keeping a clean sheet

It's not meant as an insult to BTA when I say this, but EMC is a much better player to have on the wing. Again, watching the game today I just felt we didn't have anyone to come on and change the game.

I thought Simms was ok, but the problem was getting chances to Haji in the first place. Whilst Eccles and Allen did well to strengthen us defensively, there wasn't really anything going forward. Longer term, we need 4 wingers in the first team squad and an 2 AMs so we have good options off the bench.

Going by King's comments on squad size I don't see that happening any time soon.

If we're being smart with funds I'll risk a small, high quality squad over a bloated squad full of mediocrity all day. Even with that in mind we're still short a couple before anyone says it. Hopefully we can rectify in January.

Asante had a big game. EMC doesn’t do that level of work. I liked what I saw in terms of determination and work rate. Shows we’ve got the other side to our game.

If you've got two first team ready players for each position then that's only 22 players. That's not a big squad. Then if you get two injuries to one position you can claim to be unlucky. After that you can add youngsters looking to push through or maybe even one or two utility players who can cover two or three positions.

My takes from yesterday:

Which clown thought it was a good idea to have half and half scarves?

Their youth are bellends

Ellis Simms is stealing a living.

Mixing fans like that after the whistle was a bit odd, could easily have gone wrong.

Jatty dont care is a bigger prick than I thought possible.

Whisper it quietly but we are actually defending very well this season outside of set pieces.

I saw that with Torp, didn't realise that was his name. A pathetic arsehole.
I've not got a very high opinion of these youtubers/vloggers at the best of times but he seems to be a particularly massive bellend.

I had the misfortune to catch this earlier. Who the fuck are they? The club should not entertain sending players over to such clowns.

This phrase ‘stealing a living’ is a weird one to me. If a player is training well and doing everything he can to get into the side and then comes on and doesn’t have the best game, he is hardly stealing a living. He’s just not playing that well but with a few minutes here and there how is he supposed to make an impact? He’ll get more time and I predict will have a better impact as the season goes on.

They had the better players, we played as a team.
They shaded it. Best chance missed.
Rushworth MOM.
Strong chance they will finish above us depending on points deductions.

I dont think either team did enough to win the game, a draw was the right result. Think both sides were a bit wary of each others strength.

Them and us will be at the top end and they will only fail if big points get deducted.
