I very much doubt it will make any difference, but it was only 30 minutes of my time and I could not make the march so this i smy contribution. I will post their response up here.

I wondered if you are aware of the situation re Coventry City FC? Has it reached your awareness that the people of Coventry are being played whilst a hedge fund called SISU tries to starve out the owners of the Ricoh to make an immoral profit?

Did you know that the people of Coventry consider the Football League to be the biggest culprits in this situation? Are you aware that Coventry City supporters consider they have been let down by the Football League?

Here is a link to a video from the march in Coventry on Saturday:

This is the second such march. Did you know it was happening? You must be shocked to hear the chants about being let down by the Football League. I certainly know that if someone at my work felt let down by me I would make all efforts to resolve the situation immediately. I would feel ashamed. Do you feel ashamed? I think you should.

There has been no progress at all on the promises to build an alternative stadium 'in the Coventry area'. The only progress seems to have been in court, where Justice Hickinbottom made his opinion of the situation very clear. Have you read his summation? Do you even care? You really ought to read it and act. However you continue to do nothing. Do you feel ashamed? I think you should. I really think you should.

You sit on the fence and do nothing. If that is your reaction to the situation in Coventry, what is the point of the Football League? Do you feel ashamed? I think you should. I really think you should. You should, you know.

Some local businessmen have even tried to intervene and offer options to SISU so that they couldn't make a loss on rent should attendances at the Ricoh fall below 5k. Did you know that? Did you know that SISU didn't even enquire about the details? That implies to me that they had no intention of returning. Do you think that this may be because they actually just see CCFC as an extraordinary property acquisition opportunity and don't care about the football or the people of Coventry? And yet you sit on your hands. Do you feel ashamed? I think you should. I really think you should. You should, you know. You really really should.

Let's forget the Football League as an impersonal organisation for a moment. Each and every one of you that reads this email is a human being. You almost certainly have passions of your own. You have heritage. I doubt you were born in Coventry or care about CCFC personally, but there must be something you care about. Do you know about empathy? Go on, look it up in a dictionary. Have you really done enough as an individual to resolve this situation? Or are you playing at politics? Doing nothing, not raising your head above the parapet in case it gets shot off. Do you as an person think that this is enough? Do you really? Do you feel ashamed? I think you should. I really think you should. You should, you know. You really really should. you should absolutely feel ashamed that you are doing absolutely nothing.

It would be smashing if you felt obliged to answer every single question in this email. However, I doubt you will. I expect either no reply or a bland cop out 'it's a complex situation' type email in response, the kind of email where you, the only people with any power to resolve this situation, sit on your hands and do nothing like the completely effete useless fuckers that you are. You on, surprise me... do SOMETHING!

Nothing to do with the football league. They are only interested in the club fulfilling the fixtures. They have nothing to do with owners...end of thread

Rubbish everything to do with the FL, fulfilling fixtures my arse any one could take our place.

But they are the ruling body for the league we are in they make the rules so they should follow them.

I think football is ran appallingly by the FL and the FA. What's been allowed to happen to us, is one of many examples of the state of English football.

agree but I repeat my earlier reply. The Pl Is a huge problem for lower league teams, the gap is now huge.

I was listening until you started getting all poetic at the end of every paragraph...and then the swearing at the end! Sorry you lost me there completely...shame.

If swearing isn't appropriate when talking to the people (partly) responsible for the pointless removal of a long time community asset, when is it?

Isn't this the exact sort of situation swearing was invented for?

I fully agree with you. Coventry City, the disgrace of Franchise FC, the farce of Cardiff and other stupidities all caused by a FL and FA thinking only about money and ignoring the types of people we now have running football clubs.

IF............Mr Justice Hickingbottoms judgement proves to be sound through the appeals Process ,The FL should be wary of potential Litigation re Conspiring with another to damage a company ,having discussed and approved all of SISU's actions prior to Admin.

I swear lots and I don't want to dwell on it because I think the point is now made, but in this context and IMHO it detracts massively what was pearly a heartfelt and passionate letter. The recipient will feel targetted and believe unwarranted abuse consigns it to the bin as it was the last thing you left them with. Shame.

I remember, as an apprentice, the industrial language that was used in the car and engineering industry. Once, on the shop floor, when a machine wouldn't work one of the maintenance engineers came out with the phrase, that has always stuck with me, "The fuckin' fuckers fuckin' fucked" we all knew what was meant.

This phrase is now apt for the workings of the FL (in my opinion).

Those of you that say I shouldn't have sworn are right, I'm sorry I did that.

The letter would have had no affect anyhow, but it is still wrong to swear.

Not one to apologise too, we are all fucking sick of it but if you want them to read it then you may want to rethink that part of it. Overall it typifies the feeling we all have though.
