Just back from the game, extremely angry after the performance.

I dont do ratings, just make observations. Thought we were ok in the 1st half against a teriible and feeble team. Alas, Keough (again) and McCormack (surprisingly) missed a catalogue of chances. Howson was terrific, and Snoddy eager but wayward.

And so to the 2nd half, aka the non event.

Snoddy got a kick from a 4 foot midget in the first minute and from then on did nothing.

The other 10 players were awful, and committed the cardinal sin of applying zero effort. There was no leadership either from the captain, or from the manager.

A pathetic Coventry gained total control of the game, won every 50/50 ball and looked the team most likely. Their 48 fans in the "new away end" sensed blood and perked up in their comfy West Stand Seats. The wrong players were sub'd. As Pugh gained in ineptitiude as the game wore on, it was only a matter of time before he came off, - alas not as the 2 strikers were amazingly replaced at the same time. An error of such magnitude by the manager, I swear his mind is elsewhere Sadly, Bechio is a shadow of himself which is amazing as he looks a stone overweight - still.

Forsell didnt touch the ball, didnt close down the ball, didnt go anywhere near the ball, didnt run, didnt cover, was always out of positioetc etc.

So, an awful night, just when we thought things were going swimmingly, a touch of realism hits home.
A poor crowd, no atmosphere, lots of angry folk at the final whistle."

Sounds like bitter Leeds fans really believing they are the biggest an best in the world an don't like it up em. Truth is it was great comeback by a very young team....have Leeds won the last 4 or 5 at home or something like that, great result by the boys we not going down

ha, not bitter at all.

I wouldn't say Deegan was a midget, well I wouldn't say it to his face.... :slap:

Bitterness probably comes from the fact they should of been gone by half time. But if you don't take your chances then it can come back to bite you! So as operationprem said, leeds fans still think they're the biggest team in the world!

I wouldn’t say we destroyed them. They could have been 3 up by half time but 2nd half we took it to them and they gifted us the goal which we deserved based on 2nd half fightback. Leeds probably thought they’d won the game at half time.

He'll be even more bitter when they miss out on promotion at the end of the season

Leeds have only lost 1 game in 22 home efforts...... so a point there is not to be sniffed at. :claping hands:

It's interesting that on one hand we took control of the 2nd half and were also woeful, does this make Leeds woeful in the 2nd half! Tinted glasses indeed.

Most of the comments I can see from Leeds fans "It was coming, it was inevitable" "We were awful in the 2nd half and allowed Coventry to take control" "Coventry were good in the second half but lacked quality upfront"
Also a lot seem to think a better team than Coventry would have beaten them last night.
They also seem to blame Grayson's subs as the reason they didn't win.

It's all about keeping perspective. When your team fails to win why is it fans always want to blame it on their own sides ineptitude and not on the oppositions successful deployment?
