So last season given the turmoil, Pressley could effectively do what he wanted, and wouldn't have been blamed if we went down.

This season, does he get the same tolerance?

I think he should... things are hardly more stable(!) but there is within me the nagging doubt we're a lower level replay of Bobby Gould's first spell as manager; we started with attacking swagger against the odds before a slump where it all went sterile and dull.

I'd quite like him to dispel those doubts.

And there was me thinking Sisu had got you doing their PR for getting people to Sisfields after reading the OP title

Very much depends on the support from the owners I'd guess. If he's given the same support as last year and as previous managers then it's all on him for me.

I'm still very much waiting to be convinced. I'd split his time with us into: After Robins (pretty poor), Sixfields & Clarke (Pretty good) and Sixfields No Clarke (pretty poor). He needs to stamp his mark on the team and keep it there next season to convince me he's the real deal. But I still like the guy and to be honest, even if he's not the real deal, he's a better variant than most of what we've had recently so I'd keep him around anyway.

I think the guy is going to be caught between a rock and a hard place. CCFC are now among the Crew and Carlisle's of this world. We will only be able to judge success by how well our home grown perform after the leave us for bigger and better clubs. I think he will be judge, by his employees, on how many he can bring through and sell for a profit. For the fans, I think success will be avoiding the drop from L1. Anyhow doesn't matter what we as fans think, all that counts is what fits SISU game plan whatever that is, and I suppose to be fair, as I don't give them any cash any more, why should SISU care what I think?

I actually think he has a harder job keeping us up next season than he did this year, at least this season he started with a half decent squad next season that could be very different. So far we've lost the best part if 30goals, 20+ assists, 5pen saves (guess), countless other great saves and if the guesses are right his budget (wages) has been decimated.

So for me if he even sticks it out he should at least be given the support of those who attend home or away, let's be honest being a city manager is a hiding to nowhere at the best of times let alone under the present circumstances / regime.

Can I just say it's nice to see two actual posts about players and the football side of things (this and the Lad from the Channel Islands)

I agree, I would think he is in a worse place now than last year as far as the team is concerned.

Personally I would be surprised if SP is still with us at the start of next season.

Early indications are that the average age of the team will be lower than the average number of GCSEs they have between them, so he's going to have even less to work with. On the other hand, he should have the 'luxury' of not having a points deduction to overcome. It's a tough one to say, as the owners are clearly putting all their energy into everything except the team-I can only assume Callum Wilson's contract extension was a blip on TF's part.
