It can’t be easy coming back from these injuries in a non physical sense. You must at some point fear every time you twist and turn it will happen again. If Oli has had a slight setback or needed some extra confidence building, Rushworth’s excellence has allowed some extra time to be taken. When there is no need to rush, get it right

I liked this thread thinking it was from yesterday. It is in fact from September so the poor lad is clearly having setbacks

I think Dovin suggested in an interview he'd had a setback of sorts. It's to be expected really, isn't often a perfect linear recovery.

The fact remains he is still on course. The back by January predicted by fans was uninformed and stupidly optimistic. People got confused between general recovery and an elite athletes return to competitive fitness

Someone still has time to break Tyrese Campbells leg in half at Bramall Lane.

Still some pain in his knee is that I think was said.

As someone who has had multiple ACL repairs, there is no definitive timeline, path or approach. It’s such a delicate process and requires rebuilding step by step.

Even the slightest hint he’s not yet ready for the step up, they’d roll him back a phase and keep working on it.

When he’s ready he’s ready.

He may be starting as No1 against Liverpool at Anfield on our first game back in the Premier League

me raising this point wasnt about any conspiracy or anything, just out of interest, we dont seem anything of him on behind the scenes, changing rooms, training, anything, it almost feels as though hes had a transfer theres so little from him.

i know its different, and i know its been led by maddison him self, but hes doing a whole video series about his rehab, i know Dovin/cov are very different but it would be good to see him on grass or rehab work (again i know its private poissibly etc) but just would be good to see him!

Probably a bit awkward to be filming him if recovery isn't going as well as hoped
