Under Mowbray:-

W - 5 (15)
D - 4 (4)
L - 4

Total Games 13
Total Points 19
% wins 38.46%
% draws 30.77%
% loss 30.77%

For the season:-

W - 13 (39)
D - 16 (16)
L - 17

Total Games 46
% wins 28.26%
% draws 34.78%
% loss 36.95%

If our form had been the same as under Mowbray for the entire season:-

W - 18 (54)
D - 14 (14)
L - 14

68 points
League position 7th

Impressive I thought - what do you think he could do given his own choice of players?

I think you need to allow for new manager syndrome a little as well. A full season would be the yard stick I'd be looking at.

To a certain extent but unlike, say, Robins, Mowbray wasn't able to bring in a load of players yet managed to turn round a zombie team.

A full season, by its definition, is a bit more than a yardstick - although I agree, two turkeys does not an eagle make (oops, just given away my identity -off to feed the dog)!!

Shocker - good manager is good and bad manager is bad.

Congrats on picking a rare exception to the general rule.

QPR, Wigan, Millwall, Tranmere... Probably not as rare as you think. Although I'd agree that there is an upturn in fortunes more than there isn't.
