A few questions (1 Viewer)

I ask these questions not because I am pro-SISU it rather most on here are anti-SISU. Q1 - People want SISU to bring us home - but how can that happen? Should SISU pay 400,000 a season? Should they forego receiving anything from matchday sales? It's ok most people saying go back to the Ricoh, but at what cost? And who pays? Q2 - People are up in arms because they can't go to the 'New Stadium forum', but why should they be invited even they don't give one penny to the club? Anyone, and I have met a few, can say they are City fans and won't support the club but they haven't been to a game in years, anyway. My Dad is a season ticket holder at Sixfields and I guess will be going. He's not pro-SISU he's just 77 years old and wants to enjoy a game of football. It's logical the club will only invite the people who are supporting them, and not the people who would go just to be negative. --- This has been going on for awhile now but in all that time I have not read one thread on here actually giving positive feedback or one suggestion of how to bring the club back. It's ok saying 'Bring our club back' but no one says how.

Point a) noones arguing that. Let the adults talk.

B) I'm as anti-Sisu as they come. I've been invited onto the forum. What are you on about?

You've asked loads of questions and I will try and keep it simple.

Firstly fair play to your dad, but it's not just about wanting to watch a football match is it? It's about watching a Coventry City match. Otherwise he would be trotting round the Midlands having his pick of games.

I think most of us want SISU to be more transparent, because then we might have more trust in them.

It might help if they actually stated what they want. This changes from rent, revenue streams, freehold, freehold without clauses, long term lease. This seems to change as the other side tries to negotiate, giving the impression that SISU don't want a deal or not yet anyway.

Buying the Ricoh outright has to be cheaper than moving and then building new. so just make an offer.

Moving before purchasing a suitable site is bonkers as the project hinges on location....that is why I'm not convinced that is their intention.

This is all before you look at their history and general running of the club in the last six years. Forget ACL/CCC, there are plenty of other people/evidence that they are unprofessional in the way they conduct their business.

Japandy, this is the key for me. If SISU had been seen to really negotiate, if they had made good reasonable offers for the Ricoh, if they had really come out and sold a viable plan for the future which included a new stadium; I would be on board and supporting them. I think most people would.

These are the reasons I blame SISU for our situation. It is all in their control. The decisions they have made have been detrimental to the club and it's reputation. They keep blaming others which is the easy option for their own poor management. The reason for not fully engaging the fans I am left to suspect is because they know we won't like the answers. (Sorry longer than I intended).

1/ why shouldn't SISU pay a fair rent last offer i heard was free followed by 100k thats seems very cheap for the facilities

2/i wouldn't join the forum if asked to as i don't trust SISU

and why don't SISU offer to buy the other revenue streams if they are indeed that important

Q1) the short term rent offer through the FL is a financialy viable better offer for the club than staying at Sixfields, 10K average crowd last season and the football wasn't as attractive as this season, some wont return as long as Sisu are involved but i would argue more who havent been in years might, to watch a decent brand off football. so the real question is why wont Sisu accept the offer, or at the very least enter dialogue based on the offer with a view to returning to coventry, slate ACL all you like but if Sisu put the same amount of effort into returning to the Ricoh as ACL have in trying to woo us back we would have been home for Xmas.

i dont buy the "we cant deal with ACL because of what has happened" line either. If Joy really is a Christian then she should forgive them, inline with her religion.

Q2) are people up in arms? i havent heard 1 complaint on here about it. most, like myself have no interest in it and/or dont belive it will ever get built. so why would i want to get involved?

japandy... It's logical the club will only invite the people who are supporting them, and not the people who would go just to be negative...................................................................................................................In other words they want people like YOU..who suckhole...Negative responses have to be heard, or what is the use of having a forum.....SISU want to hear you say,"Carry on F**king us up the A**e", "Charging extortionate managerial fees", "Trying to steal something that doesn't belong to them(JH's Statue) being one of a myriad of things"

It is all bollox, sisu making the present season ticket holders feel important. What is stopping that split arse solicitor having a debate on CWR with someone like Stuart Linnel in the chair, telling us the plan in full, where the site will be, the timescale etc, etc. IF there is a site it is known, IF there is a solid plan that is known too no need for private meetings.
One thing though, a mate of mine is going who is a season ticket holder, hates the owners, but lives close to Northampton so goes to games. He is intends to secretly record the whole debate, thank God for mobile phones

Brilliant replies guys - up until SBKid that is, who once again takes the abusive route as he seems unable to actually see things as a whole, or be able to debate, so I see why you wouldn't be invited, lol. - I think the council and SISU have now reached a point where they cannot work together. We have elections in May so something could happen but now I believe the SBT should be putting all their efforts into finding a mediator. A person, who is NOT a City fan and is impartial. This situation will not change until a person, or organisation is found who can work something out. I would suggest the Bishop of Coventry. This is no jest. Joy is a Christian, and there is no higher office in the City. He would be impartial and has respect throughout the community.

like i said before, if Joy really is a Christian the she should be able to forgive CCC/ACL and work with them. Unless the definition of Christian has changed to mean the same as Hypocrite.

I don't think SISU are interested in mediation? There is no deal to mediate on is there? They have moved us away and are in the early stages of building a new stadium?

They are so robust in their stance I don't think they would accept God as a mediator.

23 x 3000 x £9 = £610k - £100k rent at Sixfields = £510k

23 x 10000 x £15 = £3.45m - £400k rent at Ricoh = £3.05 million

Are the matchday sales worth £2.5 million at Sixfields ?

--- South Africa had a mediatior in the 80s and 90s in Bishop Tutu. If the SBT contacted the Bishop of Coventry I think he would be only too pleased to help. And, I believe Joy would be willing to listen to him.

@ japandy....Truth hurting is it? I posted exactly how a lot of fans feel atm. SISU don't want any anti-SISU fans present at the forum, and any that manage to get in will be looked down on as a piece of s**t on their shoe, as happened at the 3 forums last year. I say it like it is mate. I don't get how people like yourself, RFC, and a few others, forgive totally bad management from owners who couldn't give a F**k about the people who really matter..."The Supporters" and citizens of Coventry. There are a lot who castigate former owners (Torchy, RFC to name but two) yet they keep their big gobs shut when it comes to SISU...Utter madness!

A passionate response with a lot of valid opinion, some would say truth in it.

especially when you consider the fact that none off the previous owners have any influence on our current predicament.

Point one

Take the cheaper option

Point two

Why waste your time going to a meeting about something that want happen.

Or

If by some miracle it did. You point would be ignored anyway ( fans forum was a tick box exercise)

I thought the site for the new stadium and plans were all agreed.Surely the chosen fans only have to decide on which one they want built!

Don't waste your time in snuggling up to this delaying tactics, a new stadium will never happen and it is typical of Sisu in separating the fans again.

Did all the season ticket holders get a Christmas card from Tim?

I don't think you have been invited onto the forum unfortunatly mate, it sounds to me that you have been invited to attend the second forum, so you'll be in the audience of people meeting the stadium forum group, this is after the intial group of people (all season ticket holders) have met the group

as for Japandys question a, I don't think he deserves an answer at all, anyone who is seriously asking that is either completely ignorant of the situation or are completely unwilling to listen to the facts, we all know that sisu could be paying acl 2 mill rent and getting no matchday food revenue and still be massively better off than they are at sixfields.

---- I, in no way or form, support SISU. They are just as bad as the council and ACL. I will not take any sides on this issue because they don't care two hoots about any of us. But, saying that, this whole situation didn't start with these people as it goes back to when we sold Highfield Rd. I am not a confrontationalist so I won't go out my way to lambust anyone. That doesn't mean I bury my head in the sand but confrontationalism doesn't solve any issue. On a side note I have written to the Bishop of Coventry asking for his help. I will get back to you when he replies.

This is a mad question. The people not currently going to games are the EXACT people they want to get back, of course they should try to involve them.

You make it sound so simple (but it's not!) and your figures don't appear to be that accurate

it really is that simple (in order to demonstrate that the ricoh is by far and away the better option) and his numbers don't need to be accurate, he can be out by a factor of 2 on both rents and it still massivly favours being at the ricoh.

getting accurate numbers is much more complicated but the vast majority of the things he's ignored in order to produce simple numbers favour the ricoh. Think how much less corporate money the club are getting, how much less sponsorship, how much lower merchandising sales

The fact you are trying to debate it shows why no one takes you seriously, it's not up for debate, there is nothing to discuss, there is no counter arguments, being at sixfields rather than the ricoh brings in massively massively massively less revenue and profit even if the ricoh rent was 10 times the sixfields rent (which it wouldn't be)

I wouldn't waste your good time. You could maybe try God though, being a Christian Joy should already be in touch with him and it's unlikely that she will have found a way to fleece him out of any money -- so relationship should still be intact?!?
