Okay I have been piping on about how a Leicester U21 team shouldn't play at the Ricoh, but what other choices are there, can everyone give an honest answer on the poll with regards to teams they would watch.

Would say A, but that's not in my hands.

Cov Sphinx are a completely different club, so that's a no from me.

So my answer is C as they have an affiliation with CCFC

Surely any team that plays at the Ricoh becomes a Coventry team?

I don't think any football tenants apart from CCFC are appropriate as an anchor tenant. Beside that as far as I care anyone can rent the pitch and play as long as it's not getting in the way of the anchor tenant. As we don't have one, AFAIC let anyone play.

In terms of a new anchor tenant if CCFC don't come back, fuck knows. I don't care about other sports so I have no idea who would be available/suitable.

So if we accept that, can we claim Leicester U21s as our own?

Would you say Leicester U21's are a Coventry team?

Would you like any of the teams above to play at the Ricoh?

You need more options on your poll.

I want Coventry City at the Ricoh, but if Sphinx moved there I might go and watch them and if another Coventry team moved in there I might go and watch them too. I might also go and see a supporters team.

Basically, I want Coventry City home, but if they stay away I would probably watch a Coventry based team at the Ricoh until the Sky Blues returned.

I would only watch Coventry city, but I don't agree with much at all you have posted regarding other teams using the Ricoh. I see absolutly no issue with Leicester u21 playing their for a couple of weeks, no issue with people going along to watch if they want too (and almost none of us will want too) and I have no issue with the academy team playing 8 games there.

I would be very very unhappy if ACL got a new anchor tenant that plays something at 3pm on a saturday if that contract extended past this season but should it happen I would not be blaming ACL or the council, it would be completely sisus fault.

I didn't want to put to many in to be honest Otis..

But that's my point with this thread, would people go and watch a team like Sphinx or the Supporters Club at the Ricoh while the Sky Blues are absent?

Can't see the poll on my phone but wouldn't have an issue with any Coventry team using the Ricoh as long as it didn't block CCFC coming back and the contract meant they moved out if that did happen.

I'd say that sums up everyone's opinion, and will be reflected in the Poll. I only voted for the supporters team option, as the real CCFC are somewhat unavailable at the minute

I also think watching a Coventry team at the Ricoh could be helpful in terms of people not losing interest in CCFC.

Think the longer the City are away and we don't see any football, the more chance of losing fans forever. If fans still went every Saturday to watch a local team play I feel they would then be immediately more in tune with the return of Coventry City and it wouldn't be like a complete change of routine.

Not watching City play for say 2 years and doing something else on a Saturday and then suddenly having to return to the habit of going to watch Coventry City again is going to be a lot harder I feel.

If we keep watching football I think we will have more appetite for the return of Coventry City Football Club.

Don't think too many would switch allegiance permanently to a local team, as it would only be a local team at the Ricoh until City returned.

I voted for the Sphinx, it's all down to circumstance I guess. If (big if) the Sphinx got through to the 1st round of FA Cup and drew some team like Wolves, then I think very few people would object to be honest. (didn't Cov Sporting use HR once or twice?) Similar thing with Nuneaton at a push.

If CCFC were to be permanently out of the picture for some terrible reason then I think any team with a Cov Affinity that represents the City of Coventry would capture a degree of support.

I would watch any kind of Coventry club at the Ricoh before I would watch CCFC at Northampton. But once we are back.....if we ever are......then only CCFC for me.

Not voted as what am I supposed to put for that?
