They're in ninth position after 7 games and have just lost 1-0 away. Does feel a bit of an over reaction. Collins scores and they get a decent away point.

Decent result awful performance. 3-0 would have flattered them

I think it was our hardest game so far - I think our players had to work harder than they had in any other game . They did that and kept it up for 93 minutes
Just hoping that doesnt impact energy levels for saturday
Wouldnt be surprised to see a couple of changes with maybe sheaf coming back. Dabo Enforced, and possibly Godden

I couldn't believe how quiet they were last night. It was as if they were in a stunned silence for the whole game. They were Certainly the quietest we've had up there this season and maybe the inevitability of a poor team performance coupled with our quick attacking play caused it.

Still wouldve been pleased with the performance, but commenting on how we arn't clinical enough (which we've known since this time last year).

What I agree with most in there is that the writer mentions that they have nothing to be positive about in their defeats. Whereas we in contrast have genuine reasons to be positive. Good build up play, pleasing on the eye, tireless work rates. etc.

Like you I agree that whatever the result the performances this season have been positive. Look at our defeats at Barnsley and QPR; yes there was a lot of disappointment but most posters were happy with the way the team played and the general consensus was we should have beaten Barnsley and could/should have taken lead at Rangers. The only real criticism was v Barnsley why didn’t waghorn take penalty and v QPR why did Robins sub both forwards so early

Here's another Cardiff fans view. Not quite as balanced as the article. His reaction cracks me up when we score - at 28:37 into vid

This is a far superior read written by a Cardiff fan (posted by someone in the Facebook group). Full of praise for us and how we went for Robins and decided to play football as opposed to Cardiff’s physical approach:

It's funny being viewed as equivalent to the likes of Yeovil venturing into this league and daring to have a go. Somehow I don't think Portsmouth will be looked at the same as and when they make it back despite having gone into the 3rd tier the same season we did.

Long may it carry on anyway, as long as other sides underestimate us it plays right into our hands.

Boro and Cardiff were both far better than Forest and Reading. Peterborough should be entertaining too, JCH will be right up for it

He will score, run the length of the main stand celebrating, and then we will go on to win and he will have a face like a slapped arse.

Psychologically I think they must be wondering what has hit them thus far, they may feel a bit differently about us based on all those previous meetings .
I doubt it would do them much good though.
Let's hope our mentality is on the button and we dish a lesson.

Don’t think there’s any bad feeling from him anymore like in his younger days. Came back, helped us get promoted and moved on. Sure he congratulated us on our title win too

In our games at Bristol Rovers he got some stick and gave some back when he scored but I think it was generally good natured.

I think if our final pass had been just a little better we would have been out of sight. There were three or four times where we did not pick out a man or the pass was intercepted. Cardiff should be careful what they wish for in the short term...look at Ipswich who have underperformed for a while since they sacked Mccarthy. I finally think Cooks side will finally click at Ipswich. If McCarthy's way doesn't get them promotion, then they have to be careful who they appoint next. Still think Cardiff will be in the mix near the end of the season.

McCarthy looked furious for pretty much all of the game, could see it transmitting to the players who seemed like they had to mimic that attitude to not get a bollocking themselves. Felt a bit for young Colwill getting hauled off at half time when he was hardly their worst player on the pitch

They were so poor. This season feels like raducanu stopping anyone she played from playing. We are doing the same

We are getting the rub of the green in key moments too, but about time after all we had with injuries and hitting the woodwork last season.

We were very smart keeping players up when they did their long throws and corners. It stopped their centre backs getting as involved as they'd have liked to as they knew they had a long quick run back should we win possession.

4 times we broke out on a run from their long throw tactic and Mick McCarthy was going ballistic at his defenders when city threw 3 attackers up onto the half way line and had Allen waiting on the edge of our box. It effectively reduced Cardiff to 3 players who could go for the long throw.

Thought it utterly nullified their set pieces leaving the 3 shortest and quickest players up for corners. So counterintuitive and genius

Injuries to kelly. godden. Hit woodwork 4 times, Missed a penalty
Our X goals is 3rd best, and our x goals against is second best

I would suggest if anything we are unlucky so far

Yep on every stat including the one that matters we are performing well and don’t buy into this nonsense that we’ve only played the easy teams we haven’t. It’s true we haven’t played West Brom Fulham and sheff Utd of course

fully agree = QPR/Middlesbrough/Cardiff would have been in everybodys mix for play off challengers

Some of our interplay quick one touch stuff was genuinely unreal until the final ball, a combination of some good last ditch defending coupled with dodgy final passes meant we weren't out of sight.

Even when Godden came on, that flicked heade to Vik and his run deserved a goal but a poor pass from Vik gave him too much to do.

But our fitness and energy levels have been something to behold. Truly astonishing and Cardiff looked shattered.

Mate who is Cardiff fan couldn't speak highly enough of not just Vik but Waghorn. His role in coming slightly deeper and linking play with O'Hare could easily be ignored but it's a great partnership he has with Vik.

I've always felt you should leave a couple of players up for a breakaway and make them keep men back, especially short-arses or speed merchants. Three was brave though!

I loved that at corners - introduces a massive element of doubt in the the attacking team to go defensive - Adam Armstrong was particularly good at that breakaway

thought the comment on the ad boards was a brilliant example of tactics from The management
