It wasn't until I got back from the match last night and watched the match - well I fast forwarded to 90 minutes that I realised just how late we'd left it. After 93 minutes we were still 1-2 down. Unbelievable! I can't remember seeing anything as dramatic as that in my 40 years of following City.

I think the tactic of the goalie's "injury" really backfired and ultimately led to our victory. Well done Robins, well done to the players and the fans were great.

I know they were saying that Westley's teams do this kind of thing and they probably did encourage him to lie down, but their keeper was definitely hurt in some way as he pulled up when taking a goal kick a minute or two before.

Oh, I'm sure he was, but I think he could have made it to the end of the match - there would only have been a couple of minutes, but his injury gave us the time we needed.

Simonsen picked up a cartilage injury according to Westley.

Yeah, I saw that. Still think he could have made it for another couple of minutes. If you noticed Westley on the touchline while the keeper was getting treatment, he was indicating to the players to slow it down, etc. Once we scored he was the other way telling to get on with it. Karma?

I assume the injury helped us as he looked really unsteady, especially when not dealing with Baker's shot at the death.

I saw that to, I thought as soon as he brought on Proctor, they were going to sit back, so the game was for the taking. Karma? Possibly!

Funny, when they scored, my mate said "there's still time for my prediction" (3-2 to CCFC), I was quick to dismiss it saying "if we win now, it'll be pens!" So happy we rallied together and got the deserved victory!

Anyone know what the possession stats were?

When we equalised, I couldn't believe that we were still sending people forward for Adams' big punt from halfway, I was expecting either we'd count our lucky stars and go for penalties, or be kicked in the teeth as Preston countered. Worked out nice.

Yeah maybe he did pick up a cartilage injury, doesn't mean it was his. Maybe he just got it off ebay.

According to Sky it was 50/50 possession, but then they also have Preston having 10 shots on target. Must have missed 8 of them.

Actually thought we had more meaningful possession all night and looked more dangerous. We were the slightly better team in my eyes.

I thought we were the best team. Not even slightly.

They didn't threaten at all and we constantly looked dangerous.

Anyone know if Clarke was booked for his celebration?

I love how he wasted time getting his shirt back from behind the goal and sauntering back for the restart. He wound me up doing that against us for scunny but doing it for us against time wasting Preston was fantastic

We had our first chance in the 3rd minute and then again on the 12th , they didn't threaten till their 1st goal? like i know they had a lot of possession in the first 25 minutes but they couldn't do anything with it, stuck for ideas they were! we on the other hand as soon as we got the ball always looked dangerous always looked like creating chances and having shots! we were brilliant in terms of defending and possession because they were putting us under pressure and i thought we used possession better than they did.

I thank Simonsen for our possible day out at Wembley - cheats & gamesmanship will always come back to haunt you, its KARMA:facepalm:

As others have said I really think he did pick up an injury but could have finished the game easily; it was the gamesmanship of wasting time that undid them in the end.

Simonsen possibly picked up a niggle, nothing more than that. look back at him picking the ball up from behind the right hand side of goal for a goal kick, and RUNNING across to the other side of the goal with the "Ref" along with all CCFC fans giving him some shit for delay tactics immediately prior to him "Going down"......Not one trace of a limp. If(Like me) you've had any sort of cartilage injury the knee "Locks" This happened to me 3-4 games after we(Cov Sporting) beat Tranmere rovers in the FA Cup. After reading what Westley said after the match that Simonsen could be out for "Weeks if not Months".....How the F**K did the Physio bend and extend BOTH knee joints, not once but two or three times each knee???

How would he know so soon after the match though? he would have to go see a pro/doctor to determine that.
