When the draw is made both Port Vale and Bristol City will be drawn against a side to be played that weekend, if it's against a big side the TV companies will want it televised at the weekend I'd imagine

The issue isn’t the league game being moved because of the postponed game this weekend. The issue is, if they win, the next round of FA Cup matches is that weekend so our game WILL be moved.

So ideally they lose the tie after ET and then have to play us at the weekend.

It’s a tight one, you’d think to avoid a three day turn around on tickets they would keep our game and find another date for the next round of the cup.

But the 6th round is April 4th and there’s 4 midweeks available two of which are international break, one Bristol city have a league game and another is European window.

if it’s a team in Europe, they probably have to play on our weekend.

I'ts asking a lot to organise the distribution of tickets in 3 days, whoever makes it through, along with stewarding, policing etc.

I think our game will stay, and their cup game will be the following midweek.

That isn't how the cup games work. They take precedent over league matches

Yes but the point is, you're asking teams to start selling and distributing tickets on a Thursday morning, 48 hours before the game kicks off.

My new guess is the league game they have in week of 9th will move to the following week and the cup game will take its place. Our game won’t move (so a cup game takes precedence over a league game still, just not ours).

Put way too much thought into this now.

If that was to happen they would play the game 10 days from now instead of their league game then.

We should have plenty of advance notice of any potential rescheduling, I would have thought.

In a selfish way I hope its postponed on the 7th I will be on a plane to Florida so would miss it

edit
If it is on I can perhaps get wifi on board and stream on my phone, that will pass some time away, trouble is if we score I will make the passengers around me jump when I celebrate, mind you thats a BIG IF at the minute

Bristol City’s match against Coventry City – currently scheduled for Saturday, March 7th (3pm) – is set to go on sale to Members on Tuesday, February 17th at 10am.

The match will then go on general sale on Wednesday, February 18th at 10am.

City fans are advised that this fixture is subject to change should the Robins progress in the Emirates FA Cup following the match against Port Vale on Tuesday, March 3rd.

Should Gerhard Struber’s side progress, the match against the Sky Blues will take place on Tuesday, March 17th at 7.45pm.
