Interesting that the article says there will be a pre-season starting May 16th given what Max said.

Yahoo is now a part of Verizon Media
Heard this from a few different sources, governments could possibly indemnify virus production companies from being sued if there are any long term problems. Obviously not an ideal situation but a possible outcome.

Any dates being pencilled in for events to take place should be taken with a pinch of salt.
Nobody knows what’s going to happen, come June we could easily be in the midst
Of another lockdown.

ive heard this is the preference, as it gives 56 days to the end of July - remember that number? - that is when they want to make the distinction between this season and next season

Agree things seem to be stabilising but half the world is indoors!! What will happen to case numbers then? Regardless the lockdown should not stop the season being finished behind closed doors.

Program I was listening to last night was talking about when and how these restrictions could be lifted and it was a common belief mass gatherings are a long way off just what is a mass gathering 20 people at a party or 20000 at a football match ?

The countries that started to ease the lock down restrictions are now seeing numbers of cases escalating again. This is going to keep cycling until we get a proven treatment and/or vaccine.

We will be done and dusted by mid July. No playoffs for us. (He said hopefully)

The 56 days includes playoffs, so all but 12of the 91 should be done by mid July you'd expect,
Give players mid-July to mid-August off then 2-3 weeks training a friendly or two
1st game early September
Transfer window from 1st August to 30 September

Playing behind closed doors raises issues however, if one member of the playing or coaching staff is showing symptoms will the whole team have to isolate?
Large amount of people required to stream games, from TV production staff through to journos.
Streaming services (ifollow in particular) will need real investment if 12-15,000 people are wanting to stream a City game for example. Top end of Championship could see close to 100,000 streams, can current systems handle that?

Bill Gates did a Tedtalk where he predicted this would happen and warned we weren't ready in 2016. Not all Americans are the same. You are just gonna come across as xenophobic.

No but with that country going for Dementia vs Orange Lunatic in November it’s not hard to see why such opinions exist

The company that provides the back end for ifollow also does the likes of the NFL and NBA. Would think they can add capacity pretty easily.
