It's been a bit negative on here recently. So...

Tomorrow marks 6 years to the day since the takeover.

In this time:
  • Number of managers hired (excluding caretakers): 6
  • Number of boardroom resignations: 9
  • Average home attendance drop from season 07/08 to season 12/13: 42.75%

Plus, one relegation and this Sixfields debacle.

That should cheer everybody up

What would the average attendance drop be if you included this season as well?

In another 6 years with sisu where will we be, that is what the supporters going to sixfields have to ask themselves. A 1,500 supporters hold the key as to what happens now, do not go and see if you can get the club to change direction.

On the plus side (yes, I know I'm clutching at straws), the best manager we've had for years with the brightest team we've had in a decade or so.

Nearly every football fan in the UK has heard of SISU, there's another "positive".

*On the first day of take over, Ranson said to me...""The successful conclusion of this transaction ensures our future is secure and the threat of administration is avoided"

*Doesn't rhyme too well, but hey, there you go.

On the first day of take over, Ranson said to me..."The successful conclusion of this transaction ensures our future is secure and the threat of administration is avoided"

On the second day of take over, Elliot said to me...."
This is a very exciting day in the long, proud history of Coventry City Football Club and I am positive that will be reflected in the attendance for Saturday's game against Southampton"

on the third day of take over, Elliot said to me...."
I am sure that Ray Ranson and Sisu Capital will help drive Coventry City forward into a brand new era for the club."

On the fourth day of take over, Dowie said to me..."
These are exciting times for everyone connected with the Sky Blues and I am delighted that the threat of administration - and all of the uncertainty surrounding it - has been lifted."

On the fifth day of take over, Appleton said to me "Where's the goooollllldddden share?"

etc, etc

Which makes it even more fucking annoying why all this shite cannot be sorted out and we can move forward, because I am sure if this carries on indefinitely then the manager and the best players will move on and then where will we be?

FIVE loan signiiiiings,
FOUR transfer embargoes,
THREE managers,

I can only surmise but I would love to know how this debacle has effected them as a business. Is any publicity good publicity or have they bucked that trend? Anyone in the asset stripping business care to answer?

4 caretakers spells: Bunn & Harbin (co-caretakers after Dowie), Thorn, Shaw, Carsley

by accident or design?

not that it makes that much differance at the end of the day as i'm happy SP is our manager and i'm as excited by the team as the next CCFC fan, but when you've been through 6 managers 1 off them had to be good.

Robins was a good manager too. We've developed youth and brought what is it six into the first team? I would say that's design.

Disagree with your final point. Teams go through managers constantly looking for the right one, not just us. Two good ones in a row shows, to me at least, that Waggott knows what he's doing. Disagree with me by all means.

I will admit Mr Pressley has been impressive so far, but 5 months does not a successful manager make.
If by the end of the season we stay up - I will be impressed.
If by the end of the season we are in the top half I will be mightily impressed.
If by the end of the season we are in the playoffs I think I will pass out.
If we get promotion I think we should all sign a petition to make him a saint!

Unfortunately I have to disagree (not to argue) with the last bit because if Sisu are supposed to be that good, surely it should have been 2 bad manager in 6 and not 2 good ones in 6 ?

If Waggott had been here for the whole of those six years then I would agree. He wasn't, so I won't!

6 years of Sisu and revenue has dropped through the floor, -50% before Sixfields, debt has increased while assets have been slashed. They must have effectively halved the value of the club, which is why the want the Ricoh and cheap.
Sadly it's not realistic to be a financial basket case and to keep your best players in a young team, sooner or later the best players will be sold or indeed they will request transfers.

So what excuse do we use for selling every single good player we had before SISU arrived?

If I can just be pedantic Joy did state that she wasn't involved with the original deal that purchased the club, feel happy to use the incompetent Igwe however.

You mean like:

Dublin
Huckerby
Keane
Kirkland
Bigirimana
Willie Carr
McAllister
Ian Wallace
And the countless others, didn't you know that was Sisu's fault?
