50 years ago today @Coventry_City won the 2nd division title beating Millwall 3-1.

Noticed on the team sheet kick off was at quater past 3......... was that so we could send Sunderland down again ! :finger:

We always did KO at 3-15pm It was to allow for the car/shop workers to get to games.

They should move it back to 3-15 again, to allow students time to get up.

...just reading that last paragraph , it seems JH was already lined up to go and work for the BBC. despite his denial.

I used to love the 3.15 kick off. it meant that you played with floodlights from the start in the autumn and winter and you got the half time and full time scores whilst the game was still on.

But you'd have to buy a programme so you knew what match A and B was ..etc.

You are right, ithe games were listed under the teams and referee and linesmen.
