Apologies if I've missed it, but has anyone been able to say when we last won 5 league games in a row?

Think I read that it was in 1998.

Yep 1998 as part of a 9 game unbeaten run.
Our best ever LEAGUE winning streak is 6.... which has happened on 2 occasions.
(20 April 1954–28 August 1954) and
(25 April 1964–5 September 1964)

So presumably we have never won 6 league games in a row in a single season.

Didn’t we win 7 in a row in all comps in 98? I thought that’s what was said.

Yes, We beat Derby and Villa in the Fa Cup during that 5 league games run.

But our best league run is 6 wins, which we apparently did over 100 years ago. I don’t get the ‘54 and ‘64 stats. Are those league games? And if they are, why didn’t Jim Brown mention them?

We won the last 3 games of the 1953-54 season and the first 3 of the 1954-55 season in Division 3 south.
And we won the last game of the 1963-64 season in Division 3 and the first 5 of the 1964-65 season in Division 2.

All the above are League games with no cup games being played in between.

We also won all 6 games we played in December in 1909-10 starting with a 5-0 FA cup win at Kettering and then a run of 5 league games in Southern League first division.... including 3 games on 24th, 27th and 28th December.

This is all assuming that this website is correct....
Coventry City match record: 1910
