What's being done every day in training then, other than players getting injured?

Keep the back 3/back 5/however you wish to define it. What I want to see, though, is the ball played between opposition CB and FB for either MvE or Dasilva to run onto. Should do it from far deeper before the opposition defence has time to set.

Spending ~£7 million on four new CBs and then changing our whole defensive system after 12 games is very encouraging

It’s got to be more encouraging than what we saw against Cardiff, Huddersfield, Norwich and Bristol.

I think a return to the box is needed first and foremost and then if we’re still playing shit after that we should look at other formations such as 4-3-3 etc. We’ve got very capable defenders, I’m sure they can adapt to one player being moved to a different position.

100%, we don’t try enough through balls or long balls, I’ve said it for weeks on end now but every game it’s the same, just constantly passing sidewards and backwards, we hardly ever try a quick 1-2 or a through ball between the lines to drag defenders away.

I know the vast majority of us aren’t footballing experts but I feel like we can all see what’s wrong and I can’t understand why we aren’t rectifying the same problems that we encounter almost every game.
