I have mixed emotions. Obviously I want them to lose - I’m awfully smug around the place at the moment - but would also love to play them down here.

Yesterdays Swansea vs Southampton game could’ve been a problem. This lot absolutely hate “the Jack bastards”. Mrs Dactyl’s dad once announced he would prefer Swansea to be relegated from the prem than Cardiff be promoted to it. Lunacy.
There was a lot of aggressive talk about the result. Unfortunately my pro Pompey leanings meant that I was barred from commenting throughout the game.

Just passed on your prediction. You’ve been told to “fuck off”. I have to live with this.

I'd like Villa or Leicester, so I can get a lovely half 'n' half scarf to add to my collection.

We were meant to be playing forest on the weekend of the 4th round. I wonder if we got them in the cup we could just make it a cup and league game in one match to save fixture congestion (I know it can’t but would make it interesting)

That would be carnage - Coke city and policing bill would eat up any revenue.

couldn’t agree more. Don’t get the mentality of wanting your team to lose just so you can knock one out over the opposition. Easy home tie please

From the Derby match thread:
''Couldn't give a shit tbh. We're probably going to be outnumbered by Derby fans too. Don't know of a single person going to this. Play the U18s the game at Peterborough the following week is way more important''

Seems to me you were quite happy for us to get knocked out. Quite funny then for you to be first on here with the 'who do we fancy in the 4th round then lads?'' I bet if we get a juicy draw you will be all over it

Off at a tangent but some were taking the p*ss at the size of the crowd yesterday - just under 9k

For the record, and I've only glanced at a few

Bristol City v Fulham 7,5k
Burnley v Huddersfield 7.5k
Barnsley v Barrow 4.5k (Barrow took a fair few)
QPR v Rotherham - none given v low
Blues v Plymouth - 9k (3k Plymouth)
Stoke v L Orient 5.2k

The magic of the cup

Edit: just tuned into Cardiff v PNE (who I think will win - sorry Mrs Dactyl ), thinking that there'd be a low crowd. Just remembered fans banned in Wales!! - haha Cardiff 1-0 up (don't listen to me!!)

If it is Leicester (or any club for that matter) can we please leave the cringe “your mums your dad” and “…. get battered everywhere they go” songs at home.

A lot of that naughty corner have such a small club mentality when it comes to their songs and singing about the opposition in general. I was embarrassed for them when the corner sang “Millwall get battered” a few week back.

You could all but guarantee the u18’s would’ve lost though. Are you glad now that we played the seniors and got through? Or would you still have liked us to play the 18’s and probably got pumped?

Could you imagine the police response to Leicester, Villa or West Ham at home. They'd end up blocking off 5 blocks of seats, close all pubs by the ground, kick off at 10am on a Monday and only sell tickets to people who have named their dog after a Coventry legend.

Nearly as bad as Spurs fans singing 'you're not singing any more' at Morecambe fans, as they've just equalised after 71 mins!

If you thought Fankaty was bad, have a look at the goal Morecambe's right back gave away to give Spurs a 2-1 lead (felt really sorry for him)

Good job the team turned up then, even if you didn't. You'd have been the first to slag them off if they had approached the game with the same enthusiasm you did.
